I have some grime stuck in my window sill and it smears the window... Any advice on how to clean it out? Tried googling but all I'm getting is house windows...

I did some more reading online, and I did find some info about basically soaking the sill (with window down) with window cleaner and letting it dry out - works for most people - but apparently the 2 series just has greasy window issues? Seems to pop up a lot.

3 years with a m235i and I never figured it out. Now I just keep a microfiber in the car with glass cleaner. I just wipe it down when it inevitably comes back.

Ha it's one spot for me. Without a doubt the days leading up to my biweekly wash a greasy line starts to form in the same spot on the driver and passenger windows.

Yeah, this does suck. When it really bugs me I take 2 minutes to clean the inside of the side windows when I pull in the garage.

That worked for my passenger side, the drivers side had been getting less and less noticeable every time I cleaned off the lines so it's probably just something left over from manufacturing.

Yeah I did that and it worked, but after a week or so it comes back. Thinking there's something with the door hardware that's causing the smudge.

Used to have this prob.
My solution(granted I have a good detailing setup):
Rinse - foam gun - rinse - dry with master blaster car vacuum and specifically spend extra time drying the window sills. In theory compressed air would work the same. Key is to dry them completely because the material holds soap residue.

Thanks for this! I already use a rag to clean that inside flap / seal but I love the credit card idea.
