Also - not today, but I installed the hood insulation from an m240i and WOW what a difference. Not a cheap piece but much quieter. Have some other sound deadening coming from Germany that will be here in two weeks. More exhaust, less wind and tire noise 👍🏼👍🏼

Roof was done with Avery Dennison's CF wrap and XPEL PPF over it. From what I saw, the PPF is really what made it look similar to the CF on the M Performance parts.

I added some M perf grill stripes; just vinyl ones. The color match is VERY good.

They were a touch painful to get on properly, but look pretty good now. I'm not quite sure if I like the look, but if I change my mind, I'm back to stock in about 3 minutes and $12 poorer. I can live with that.

Oh, and yeah, the car is filthy. I just got back from a 400 mile trip that saw some higher speeds (including 86 in a 60 that thankfully only got me a warning) and I haven't washed it yet.

So I'm cruising at 75 mph down I65 towards Indianapolis to watch our daughter's regatta this morning. In the next lane a guy slides up to me in a brand new Kia sedan. Don't recall which model but had a big red S after the model name on the trunk. Sports version I guess. After staying next to me for 10 seconds he floors it racing way out ahead. I smile and decide not to make him feel bad about his new car, and keep the cruise set at 75.

Could have been a Stinger. If it was he would have given you a run for your money assuming both cars are stock. You would have beat him for sure but you would have had to work at it.
