From EVO article. Like almost all BMW's a track pad and fluid change will be necessary.

Considering a Brembo GT bbk kit is like $8000 that's not that bad I guess. Idk if I can justify retrofitting them though at that price. The stock brakes work just fine for me on the street. I just like the look of the larger calipers. I wonder if It would be possible to just move the OEM 4 pot front calipers, pads and discs to the rear and only upgrade the fronts to M2C bbk to save some money. |

And hang in there, u know someone with money to burn will be swapping out those big sliver calipers for red ones, in the name of fashion.. They'll be up on eBay in no time. |

That's my take too ... I really hesitated to take the optional breaks, but at the end of the day I might track the car 2 or 3 times a year max, the rest will be road. So if I am unhappy with the blue ones I can still change the fluid and the pads, if still unhappy I can still get the optional breaks mounted. Also I am not a track racer or pilot, so with my little level I guess the blue ones will just do fine !

Priced the full retrofit today at £3400 GBP after discount.
Interestingly, the part numbers for the front pads equate to the F10 M5 optional accessory “sport pads” part no: 34112284465 These are really expensive & the stock F10 M5 pads (34112284869) are quite a bit cheaper. I wonder if the factory fitted M2 2NH (silver / grey calipers) will come with the stock (34112284869) pads and the accessory catologue 2NH retrofit kit (red) maybe then comes with the sport pads (34112284465) ?? |

https://www.prosportauto.co.nz/blog/...ME22-Compound/ https://www.prosportauto.co.nz/page/ENDLESS_Brake_Pads/ I tried ME-20 and the result is the following; great brake pads on track....but very noisy on street and also on track. I stopped searching for a silent brake pad for track duty and street.... I just switch to track pads when I go on track and switch them back to street pads the day after.

I’d imagine it’s like the F3x blue calipers which are only available in blue on a factory order but come as a retrofit kit in either orange, red or yellow. Kit includes 4 x calipers 4 x discs & all pads. Retail is £4250 GBP - discounted to £3400 GBP by a UK main dealer. |
