Can you post more prices for roof, front fenders, trunk, etc?

When people see the cost, I am certain more people will bulk even more even if they are OK with the install procedure.

I mentioned the roof install debacle to my wife(not a car person), she did not even realize that our F80 has a carbon roof on it. Needles to say, she vetoed the idea and I don't blame her.
Actually think the roof will be $2k at most. Hood is a lot more elaborate, with the entire under structure being carbon as well. I’m sure the manufacturing process is a lot more intensive than the roof.

The bonnet will cost more than the roof. About twice the price for the bonnet I think.

However the killer cost for getting the roof will be the 12-13 hours of labour installation plus the mandatory front n rear windscreen. More than the cost of the roof itself. Quite ridiculous really..,

My deaker told me that the total cost (parts and install) for the cf roof is around 6‘000.- CHF (which is roughly 6‘000 USD). In Switzerland not available before 2020, as like many others of the new m performance parts.

You are all going to do that at the dealer? Front and rear diffuser, steering wheel, bonnet, knob, and hand brake can be done at home. That is not difficult.

The other things you have to let your dealer or a cheaper specialist do. I will have a cheaper specialist do some of it together with me.

I would love to know the price per part. Can you share this?

The carbon wing retails for $3k; and even a set of little carbon mirror caps retails for $650/pair. Of course the carbon fiber hood is going to be in the $5k neighborhood.

None of those prices seem out of the ordinary. I expect the carbon parts will be pricey, considering the prices of the current carbon M2 parts. The current rear diffuser is $1,100, carbon mirror caps $470 each.

Of course pricing will be different in all countries and discount levels will be different.

Only part that is weird is the exhaust, $10k? The Mperf exhaust must be a full system for that price. ETK now shows the opf filters in the midpipe, not muffler like Lellmann said. Only makes sense, there are two part numbers for US and Europe.

Why the MPE would cost that price it’s almost the same as the one on the M4, the M4 MPE is cheaper

What did you expect with the current mirror caps costing $470 each? $1k for mirror caps, that is a joke.

Way overpriced I agree, but expected.

The only thing I'm interested in is the MPE. And a full titanium exhaust is expensive, but 10k € seems to be a lot. (BTW, this is almost 12k $ - not 10k as written above). Since this is the german price I'm pretty sure it includes OPF. So US migth be 2k cheaper or so.

The Akrapovic for the M2 is also Titanium and about 6k € (of course without OPF). So the BMW price is really off. For 10k € I will skip it.

They are expensive when it's port installed. I bought them brand new for $250 each on Amazon.

People always doubt me, even when I show them proof that Port Installed accessories add $ for installation. I gave up on trying to convincing them. Pay up, geniuses..

Are we sure the exhaust is only a slip on? ETK shows opf filters in midpipe, not in muffler like Lellmann said in your interview. Why two different Mperf part numbers if opf filters are not integrated into the muffler? Unless there are other emissions related equipment in muffler?

I have firsthand experience not paying install. At worst you pay the full retail price, but usually you can negotiate Mperf prices within your car deal.

Just because you paid $250 for carbon mirror caps on Amazon and someone else paid full retail $470 with port install. Doesn't mean they paid for install, they just paid full retail.

I am not going to argue with you because I know it's a dead end but you do pay more than the list MSRP price.

If you negotiate a lower price with the dealer, yes that's the new price but factor in the full sales tax also.

Lets agree to disagree please.

We actually really aren't disagreeing. You are just calling paying the full retail... "paying for install". Really your argument is you can get part A cheaper with a discount and install it yourself versus someone getting it port installed at full retail within the car deal.

Yes you can negotiate off full retail prices while dealing with your SA. Most the time 20%+ off. @cntzl posted his M3 deal for reference, he got anywhere from 20-30% off Mperf part retail prices that included free port install.

Now my question to you is? Lets say the roof comes in at $3,000, but you can get it for $2000 from ECStuning or whomever. Someone works it into their car deal with free port install at full retail at $3,000. You pay $2,000 for the discount part, but you also have to pay for 12.5 hours of install. Same goes for the hood, you get a discounted hood from whomever, but have to pay for install and paint. Who is paying for install in that situation, since ordering the parts with car build would be less expensive?

Here we go again with this topic lol. I'm tired of trying to explain or convince people as well. I don't have anything gain out of this so it's totally up to you guys to believe it or not. However, I did pay $6.4K for M performance parts that have a list price/MSRP of $8K in total as you can see below and guess what? They came installed from the port and didn't a pay a penny over for the installation!

I think that a little common sense goes along way on mod installs. You can't compare a roof install or a hood and paint install to buying a carbon fiber fin and taping it on yourself. Save money and labor when it is easy to do yourself or 3rd party.
