Haha i‘ve the best wife in the world, no doubt...
But she wanted my new car to be something, you know..., 4l consumption, 2 cylinder and probably electric, low value, low insurance, low cost, low fuel cost, and so on... I think i did pretty well with the coming M2C

If you track your car. On the street you're not going to feel much difference in 2-3lbs per wheel. To spend 5K on the wheels is too much money for the relatively small gain. IMO coilovers are better choice for more gain and less money |

Do we know the weight for the US spec factory wheels on the M2C? It would help tremendously when starting to do wheel comparisons. Thanks!

BBS, Rays or HRE, look no further. BBS and Rays have the best forging in the world no doubt about it, but I like HRE design and finish better. Don't care too much about 1~2lbs/wheel difference, you will get a whole lot more from the look 99% of time. BTW, GT3 RS nailed ring time with the 13kg/pc wheels
That being said, there are two wheels IMO that you can and will go wrong with - BBS FIR and M performance 763M. FIR is out of place with M2. It's designed with an aggressive fitment for M3/4 and is way too aggressive for M2. The width(9.5+10.5j) is for 265mm front and 285mm rear or above. On those tires, along with its absurd ET, you will rub 100%. Stock tire will give you a stupidly stretched look and you'd still rub even just lowered by 3/4 inch. M2 on bbs fir is like a girl stealing her older sister's dress. Do yourself a favor there is BBS RID that is superior in strength, similar in weight and has more than one good fitment for M2. Your car will thank you. BTW, US dealers seem to not carry RID normally, and want to fool you into FIR. Make sense. I never understand the craze about 763M, I suspect they just don't get to see the wheels in the real world. I have quite a few local guys ditch 763m shortly after install, just because stock wheels are a lot better in comparion. All the good pictures found on internet are with strong lighting and when perfectly clean. Below is a real world picture that 763 will look like 90% of time. Outright ugly. Hate me or thank me. Don't care, just being honest. And, MR. I don't know what's been wrong with you since you had a M2C on order. I think this thread belongs to generic wheel and tire section.

indeed, because of its satin finishing, my neighbor has the black 763m on his v8 m3 and it looks clumsy all the time if not super cleaned, as for BBS FIR/RID, those much thought after wheels have very high risks of being stolen where i live so i won't consider either... my probably going for Neez or BCForged 5 spokes |

Questions wouldn't be any different, only different forum. And yes, this should have been in a wheel and tire sections, but are we going to get one specifically for the M2C or not? I honestly did not know and therefore put it here. Anyhow thanks for the information. Everyday you learn something and you gave valuable info in this topic which might be in the wrong forum. MR |

Regarding coilovers, can be interesting to have special topic for that... My preference is KW (currently using them on my car), but open to another recommendations. |

It seems like the cheapest option would be to sell the 788Ms and buy 437M's from a member on the forum selling them off their OG M2, right? Price-wise, it would probably be a wash or very inexpensive.
Assuming you can get someone to buy the 788Ms, of course |

If you are considering taking her to the track more than 5-7 days a year, consider Apex SM-10. They are light enough and you will not cry when you damage them.
If you are considering less than 2-3 days of track a year, and wish to stand out on street, I will say BBS FI-R/ HRE R101 lightweight. 763M is also great. Light and not as expensive as BBS and HRE. |

I was doing some research and came across forged wheels from Titan7. They are under 2K for a set. BUT ... there is a catch. They only come in 18s currently for the M2. Rumor has it that they are producing some 19s.

I found the Titans in 19, but the wheels were .5" wider and more aggressive offsets which is probably ok for M3/M4 but I'm not sure about the M2 with larger tires. The 19s were about 26 lbs.

Their web site does not show that they have 19s in any application.
I am going to contact them today and ask. |
