Thanks to ///M Houbie and OKCZ
I've set SPA_IST_GANG_ENABLE to aktiv and no more shift gear indicator only current gear (DCT gearbox). SPA_CHECKBOX doesn't work (no check box in iDrive display), it seeems to be quite logical for DCT. Thanks again, I can now drive without this virtual ecologist non-stop saying to upshift to save the earth ! |

Set SPA_IST_GANG_ENABLE back to "nicht aktiv" (this is important). Set SPA_CHECKBOX to "aktiv" in Headunit and SPA_KOMBISELECT_DISABLE to "nicht aktiv" in Kombi. Then you should be able to control it via iDrive. At least it works this way in my car (6MT).

If it's DTC there is no shift indicator? Or does one appear if you select manual mode?
I think you can only do this in Esys? Correct me if I'm wrong? M Houbi and I used Esys... Edit: just checked and bimmercode has now unscrambled the Kombi ECU so you can do this mod with bimmercode! Last edited by doughboy; 03-08-2019 at 03:01 AM.. |

Meanwhile the M2C's kombi ecu is possible to code with Bimmercode.
But with DCT i don't think you can disable it, there is no shift point indicator as doughboy stated.

Just picked up a 2019 M2 Competition 11/28 build date. Already had the M menu in the iDrive. I am a 6MT however.. Really wish there was a current gear indicator for 6MT guys though

I think US cars have the shift indicator disable check box available. Just EU cars don't.
All manual cars have a current gear indicator - the gearstick! Don't even need to take eyes of the road. Put your hand on the shifter and you know exactly what gear you're in... |

Spa_ist_gang_enable was already not active and gear indicator was still showing. Tried this and it worked but no idrive toggle showed up. Thanks all! |

Sport plus and comfort are engine mode and steering setting. They are shown here when you turn off the pointless / stupid efficiency gauge in I drive settings. |

And I didn't know that about the other thing. I thought it was blank if you turned off efficient dynamics. I kept mine on because I liked the colors. Unless what's in his picture is another thing specific to M2C. I'll have to try disabling it tomorrow. |
