Of course I agree about the exhaust can - have yet to see one person that likes it hanging down so low. I've only seen one person on here post good pics of it painted and makes a huge difference.

Update - 11/10/18
Got the car back today and the guys at PerformanceTechnic did an amazing job! They installed my Essex AP Racing BBK, Ohlins R&T, 763M wheels and some other minor stuff. Suspension needs to be dialed in little more and the ride height needs some tweaks but I'm quite with the end result. Here's the big news. I did a before and after weight comparison with full tank as you can see from the pics below, it weighed 3563lbs before and 3494lbs after the mods. So I shaved off ~70lbs unsprung weight. I have been saying this car has so much potential to reduce weight and this is just the beginning for me. Next step is an exhaust system for me and planning drop another 30+lbs |

Cool stuff. If you read my review, I'm glad you also noticed the huge improvement in the electronic steering. One of the biggest improvements on the car.
Really curious why you would go a BBK on this car. Big expense and the car is already overkill with the 6/4 pot setup stock. You went with the Ohlins coils so I suspect you are really hardcore track, so the brakes might make sense. Also agree with you the manual is okay, but nothing really great. I went from manual to DCT in the comp and I'm happy I did. |

I hear you on fitting smaller wheels. Would have been curious to hear about track performance with the 6/4 pot factory setup... BMW finally decided to kit the cars with monoblock calipers, they had fitted cars with such crap brakes for so long. Brake fade was a big issue on M cars with crappy floating calipers for such a long time. Not so much any more, at least from recent reviews. Still, $6k is a huge chunk of change for this upgrade. Car is looking good!

Great list of mods.
Love the brake kit. I'd go the same route but man, really pricey. Wish the m big brake was an option on the m2c so that I can de-spec it to save money for an ap kit. Still waiting my car too...real jelly. I turned down an offer yesterday from Fremont. Everything was right except for the dct.. definitely going manual this time around. |

Haven't had a chance to do some acceleration tests or take it to some twisties after I picked it up. Still babying the car and also need to get the clear bra installed before I can drive it without a worry (have a clear bra appointment on Monday). I love the car, it's really amazing even in its stock form. However, my Ohlins need some adjustments (height and damping). Currently rear is sitting too low and the ride is a little bouncy (running almost the softest setting).

I think you can get a lot for it - what does the red kit from BMW go for? $5k at least? I'd say you can get at least that from someone on the OG M2 side, who wants to upgrade but doesn't want red.

Great job and beautiful pics! What about the weight of both kits? Have you weighed the AP kit before installing and the OEM after removing?
763m rims are stunning as well! |

I weighed my AP kit at home but haven't weighed the stock BBK yet. AP BBK weighs 105.2lbs (just calipers, rotors and lines. Without pads). Based on my calculations from BMW ETK, the difference is around 50lbs roughly.
