Spent a bunch of money.

I love much less the exhaust hangs down. It also sounds infinitely better.

I'm OCD with the matching stitching. They are much lighter but without the side airbags, I have no heated seats in mine. I bought the German version so they are TUV approved, meaning that they are as high as stock for crash structure/air bags/anti-submarine/and all those other reasons.

In terms of support, the Sportster has been around for a long time now, and lumbar support was known to be not that great. So when I had them re-done I had some additional foam/padding added to the sides to mitigate this issue. Overall, I am happy with the installation and am getting used to the additional support.

I ordered the floating center caps too for fun, but I'm not quite sure the best way to remove the originals as these new ones have so many clips.

I think my interior is pretty much perfect now, time to shift my mod focus to the outside; still waiting on IND and Mode Carbon's hoods before I make any moves.
You can remove the original center caps using a mobile phone suction mount, or anything else that has a decent suction mount.

You know what I love about this car? It is endlessly mod-able. You can do nearly anything you want to it cosmetically, as well as to its behavior.

Today, I coded out the seat belt reminder chiming upon start up of the car. I know it's totally anal on my part, but goddam was that s*** annoying! I want to be able to start up my car, get the AC on max, get CarPlay up and running and playing my music, before I put on my seat belt. That goddam chiming was driving me nuts!

Bimmercode to the rescue! It just blows my mind that our society is soooooooo rich that we can devote resources to building an app that solves the most ridiculous of first world problems! I love it!

Reminds me of this stupid episode of this idiotic show called The West Wing. In it, some character was making the case for why the government should fund the arts. And they said something along the lines of, "Every great society funds the arts. It's how the society becomes great. Ancient Greece discovered geometry and the scientific method... and they funded the arts..." No! You moron! Societies have to devote labor and resources to subsistence. And once you've advanced beyond subsistence levels, then you can waste your labor and resources on bulls*** that makes wankers standing around discussing "the sublimity of the pastels in that oil painting... blah, blah, blah" feel important. It's only because Ancient Greece got to be relatively rich - at least above subsistence levels - that they could then waste time, and labor, and resources on art.

Thank god we live in a world where we can waste all this valuable talent and energy on an app to get rid of that F***ing seat belt chime!

(Please forgive the aimless rant and rambling. It's Labor Day afternoon, and I'm already drunk!)

I don't suggest you completely code out the seatbelt chimes; set it to the lowest setting, like 5 seconds and the longest distance, before activation.

Word on the street is disabling it completely also might possible affect the severity of the airbag speed deployment (long explanation).

A search on the subject will yield a more detail explanation.

Ha! It’s not frog season here yet but I get the same colour weird leaf insect thing on the car every couple of days. I’m going to have to take a pic next time.

Just went for a short spin. But the whole car seems to have transformed. Much more than I expected to be honest. The steering is heavier, but more precise. You get a lot more feedback from the tyres and the road. It's like you can feel the surface of the road. The car as a whole feels more precise, sharper and much more raw.

Feels like a totally different car now. And I didn't do the GTS MDM yet!

Need to take in more impressions... 🙂

Sounds interesting, let us know how it goes. What did you use to code it?

You can't do it with Bimmercode so you need Esys. It's done within a few Minutes... 👍🏼

Go to the "Variantencodierung normal" in the EPS ECU and change the "Veh6/F87CS" to "F82GTS", activate VO (FA) and then Code FDL, done.

I had the F82 GTS Steering program loaded today after seeing your post. Comfort steering now is like the original M2C Sport steering program, and the Sport steering definitely has more weight to it. I can't say I feel more of the road but I can say that the car feels more stable for big sweepers on the highway and that there's a lot less free-play on the steering wheel.

I also loaded the DSC program from the F87 GTS
