I thought I might go over it quickly with a steel wool pad which is probably unnecessary due to the high temps self ridding contaminants every drive.

VHT or similar high temp flat ?

Tnx
Hey Devo, just sprayed 50/50 iso/water and wiped.

VHT Flameproof 1300f-2000f (thanks to cptobvious)
Did you do the exact recommendation for heat cycling?

I've had my knee surgery in december and finally am able to walk and drive my car again!

Only few small things in the meantime... I didn't bring it over my heart to make a "before" picture, but i do have an "after" picture

it's amazing how much of a difference a little black paint can make...

The muffler has been sanded, a primer has been put on and then matte black (satin) heat resistant paint has been applied. Very happy with the result!

That looks really good. Would you mind posting this in the painted muffler thread? I plan on going back through that thread for ideas when it's time to paint mine.

As for what I did to mine today...I finally got it back! Picked it up 1.5 weeks ago, drove it five miles to a PPF installer and finally picked it up last night. Can't wait to finally start driving it and making it my own.

It would be awesome if the fuel tank was the size of the muffler, think of the driving range? Probably fuel up about once per month.

Installed rear reflector deletes.

I went the "easy" route which involved taking off the rear wheels and taking part of the bumper off to reach the clips.

End to end it was probably 30mins.

Now the rear end of the car looks LEGIT!!

- Painted Muffler Black
- MP Spoiler
- MP Rear Diffuser
- Rear Reflector Delete

I'll take pics tomorrow in the light

So far:

CF 6MT shift knob and boot from IND, love it
CF MPerformance rear spoiler
CF front winglets
CF grilles from IND, a pain to install but really smart
CF MPerformance mirror caps, easier than I suspected

Bought the rear reflector delete (IND) but install not as easy as their video suggested, even with the fender pulled back can't get pliers to the clips to remove, any suggestions appreciated!

I have heard the shift knob and boot is a relatively easy DIY, true?

Absolutely, literally 2 minutes, snap plastic the edge of the boot out (really easy) and pull shift knob straight up without hitting yourself in the face

It's so true! We're like little kids on a rainy day. Can't go play cowboys and Indians in the woods so we're all going bonkers.

I remember buying M logo valve stem caps to stave off boredom one time!
