Wow, that's awesome! Didn't think they did that ordinarily. I thought it was Germans only (outside of US and CA) that got to do Welt delivery. Must have been a herculean leap forward in Franco-German relations!

Response I got back made me think that the decision is open to future reconsideration. Fingers crossed.

I've been #1 at my dealer with a deposit for the CS since 2016. All with the intention of doing a euro delivery. Where can I let my voice be heard? (serious question). Doing Euro Delivery has been a dream of mine for about 10 years now...it all evaporated with that announcement. So jealous of the folks in this tread that got to do this. Fair question! I didn't do anything special except use the generic feedback form @ https://my.bmwusa.com/contact-form.html. I received an e-mail back from CustomerRelations@bmwusa.com. So you could probably use either avenue.

I'm sorry to hear about your missed ED opportunity. I don't mean to rub it in, but I did one in 2008 (335i coupe) with my best friend and then again in 2015 (M4 coupe) with my mom, of all people. She had never been to Europe. Both trips are etched in memory forever. Words can't describe. Here's hoping our misfortune turns itself around some time in the future.

Then BMW shut down Euro Delivery and will move M2 production to Mexico.

The redband plate is a German Export Plate. You can drive with it within Germany for x-amount of time.

When the car goes through the import process, it needs to have the country-specific plate fitted.

At least this is how it works in the Netherlands.

Is the EU delivery shutdown in response to COVID-19?

Or has it been removed as an option forever?
