Car is ridiculous, if the stock M2c already felt like it had too much torque this is ridiculous. I'd say it's not enjoyable. You can get yourself in a lot of trouble. 2800-4k car feels like it has full boost hauls ass!!!!!. After that range the car feels like it's a large turbo spooling up but never hits peak. Note I have stock tires and it's 30 degrees out. Maybe with higher temps the car will perform better but ehhh

I came from a 6262 135 for reference FYI.

Dear Doughboy

Your wheel looks fab and has inspired me to buy the same carbon trim piece.

Can you please share how you fitted this or point me towards a thread? Looks like you have to disarm the airbag first and if I disconnect the battery then my tracker will activate. I can get the dealer to fit when I get the 1200 mile service done but if it's easy I would rather do it myself.

Thanks, Peter

Yes you need to disconnect the battery then pop out the airbag from the wheel. Disconnecting the battery is a fairly common workshop practice, so if that causes problem's with your tracker that doesn't sound right.

Once air bag is out then 3 x small torx screws and some delicate hook clips will free the wheel trim, then fit the new one.

Removing the airbag is dead easy when you've done it before and understand how the release mechanism works. Then the airbag lead is only 2 inches long so you need to hold it in one hand while you release the electrical connector from the wheel centre with a small screwdriver in your other hand.

You can't hang the airbag on the wires as its too heavy and the lead is too short to put it anywhere so you have to be ready with a small pick or driver to hand.

I had practice before on my M6GC.

Youtube is your friend!

Which map? I would go for a CS tune I think because supposedly still pretty linear and drivable. I'll let you know if I ever swap the m2 for m2c...

Replaced the stock air filters with BMC filters and removed charcoal filters permanently.

... and then went for a drive on some back roads. I really don't wanna be unfair to my M4 and also don't wanna sound ungrateful by any means but I enjoy the M2C more on curvy roads. Of course, it has coilovers on it (my M4 didn't) but I love the way it handles and rotates.

Yes there is. I did this mod to my M4 too and had the same outcome in it as well. I'd say it's a noticeable difference.

What is the downside to removing charcoal filters? Why are they there in first place?

EU spec M3/M4s don't have charcoal filters (or at least didn't have it up until recently). I remember reading about it awhile ago that they are for emissions (https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1311128). Removing them doesn't make a whole lot of difference in terms of power gains (if any at all) but you at least get better air flow.
