Front bumper on this test mule is exactly the same one that is on M2C. It just has CF front lip attached to it, which can be done on the M2C as well.

These exclusive variants are fantastic examples of the best BMW has to offer. However, there sky high price and lack of a proper 6 speed take them out of contention for most enthusiasts |

Also don’t forget to add in some wonderful marketing claims that in short time will be revealed to be completely bogus... “closed deck” “completely revised suspension” Who wants to guess what the next great “phantom feature” will be?

CSL will never be the car it was 15 years ago. Back then we didn't see it coming and it surprised us. Today we have high expectations and market is so competitive that only parts bin project can meet profitability target for such low volume product. CSL is hardly a parts bin car, so either it's not coming or it's coming disappointing.

Unfortunately I was talking about the way it gets made - fit whatever is readily available or the new parts tailor made for it.

Doesn't matter anyways, any appeal towards this so-called M2 CS went strait out the window for me after I realized it would be DCT only.. Next.. |

I thought about just removing the big box and leave straight pipes anyway on all new M2 if I end up getting one (M2C with manual).
My 135i is straight piped, I think the M2C would even sound better, look better, weigh less... |

It's hasn't been officially confirmed yet.. But based on the CS history, DCT has always been exclusive. Also, the CS would be a limited production vehicle; BMW would not want to pay to tune and crash-test both transmissions (required in the US) that has a very little return. |

No, BMW has not confirmed the M2CS/CSL will be DCT only. BMW hasn't even confirmed the car will be made. But with the M4GTS, M4CS, M3CS, as well as history (e.g., M3 CSL, M3 GTS), the writing is on the wall. I'm first on the list for the M2 CS/CSL, but I'll quickly give up my spot when it is revealed the car is DCT only. This is *the* reason I'm not all that excited.

I enjoy rowing my own gears as well, part of the driving experience for me. At least, with these kind of cars. Fingers crossed 🤞 |

I have a DCT M2 and use to have a 6 speed M3. I switched when the DCT was faster and got better gas mileage. I have never regretted my decision. So, I am quite fine with a DCT M2CS.

I am loving the DCT as well...also noticed I pretty much operate it like I did the manual...shifting gears myself most of the time.
