Put my deposit down today. Number 5 at the dealership. Baby brother for the M5. Very excited. Have an M135 to keep me amused in the meantime too.

I was in a similar situation before I got my M135i: I never actually even considered the BMW, because it just didn't appeal to me design- and interior-quality-wise (I came from a VW and initially wanted to go for an Audi A3/S3).
But then a friend called my attention to the M135i and after my first test drive, there was no going back. The way these things drive instantly made up for any optical and haptical shortcomings. It was such a difference to the usual "hot hatchback" driving dynamics.

I have neither driven the new RS3 nor the M2, so I don't know if it will be the same between those cars, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

In any case, I just wanted to say: Don't worry about design details – there are much more important things about these cars.

Same with me, my dealer also told me he wants my M2 to be a "Händler-Erst-Ausstattung" car. What exactly will this mean? First of all, this will mean for me personally, that I will be able to get the M2 from the 18th April onwards.

But are there maybe some downsides to this? And he also told me, that BMW maybe can make some "Default Settings" as DKG for the HEA-car. Is this true as I want to have a 6MT.

I'm still not into the "BMW-world" to know if that's true.

Dealers here in Belgium will recieve a showroom M2 on week11, which they can order with the options they prefer. Mine will be such a M2 but with options choosen by myself. I had to decide quickly, let's say in a couple of days.

Week 11 means middle of March, so what are they doing with these cars in the meantime? It's a whole month until 16th of April...

No news so far from my end. So far it is mid February production, early March delivery... My spot got swapped. I now have the early demo production slot and the dealer demo car arrives in April.

It was already confirmed that customers won't be able to take delivery of the M2 until April 16,2016.How would you be able to get the car delivered to you in March?

Strange that all the countries in the world are waiting for allocations but people in Belgium claim to have allocations outside of HEA ones.

Yeah strange indeed..
However I do know for fact that Switzerland had the configuration tool very early on the BMW site. This would mean in reality that the cars could be configured and quotes be released.

I ordered my car a few hours after the reveal so everything was ready in Sweden too. That the website configurator was slower to be released in Sweden has nothing to do with availability, it is just a matter of bug hunting and priorities.

I haven't spoken to my sales agent since October but I doubt there are any updates yet.

They can... I got the production slot which was mend for the production of the demo car for my dealer. So now my car comes first and the demo car later. They swapped them.

Congrats on your order. It will be interesting to see if you will be able to take delivery in March.I'm hoping my dealer gets the ordering info from BMW Canada in the next few weeks.I'm number one on there M2 list,so when they get the info,I will be ordering the M2.

When ordering my M2 on Oct 16, 2015 (no demo dealer [HEA]), I have personally seen a BMW document stating that M2 deliveries are scheduled to roll out from April 16, 2016 (at least as regards Belgium).

If someone has official information that BMW has changed plans in the meantime, please let us know.
