High-Res FLAC possible?
Hello audiophiles
Does anybody know if iDrive 6 (M2 Competition) is able to play HighRes FLAC files, and if so to what bit/samplerate? What about 5.x files? Thanks in advance

Yes, FLAC works great. I run music from a 256GB flash drive in the arm rest socket, CD collection ripped using Exact Audio Copy at it's highest settings (not awake enough to remember what the bit rate was and it was off of my other computer). Same flash drive and files also worked fine on ID4 in my 340.

Could cellect the car last friday, all FLAC files working great so far
Do you eventually know if high-res gets downconverted or is played natively?

I really don't think they're being down-converted. When I originally started using them in my 340, I had put a couple of albums that I know very well on the stick in both MP3 and FLAC. There was a drastic difference in sound quality (and that was on my heavily upgraded audio equipment).
