JB3 In Comparison to JB+ With No Mods

Hey everyone, just kicking the idea around right now and would really appreciate any input from you guys. My 135i is stock right now, and am looking for some more power. I am considering the JB3, however after doing much reading, I am starting to think I should just go with the JB+ due to the fact that I have no other mods, and also the fact that I will most likely not be adding anymore mods besides the chip, because I'm scared of my dealer

Anyway, which would be the better option? JB+ (and possibly a DCI in the future at the most), or just go for the JB3 and use map 5, etc. Are the JB+ gains really "throw you back in the seat/whiplash" worthy, or will I need the JB3 for that?

I have constant access to 93 octane and thats what goes in my car daily. Thanks for the input guys, greatly appreciated.

The JB+ will feel much faster to you, but eventually you're going to start wondering what the JB3 feels like, and you're going to do the same thing I did, and upgrade.

My opinion, just skip the JB+ altogether. The JB3 is on a whole different level, even when otherwise stock.

Then when you're out of warranty you can throw a set of downpipes on it and an intercooler, and you've taken care of the most significant mods you can do to this car, short of a turbo upgrade.

Yesterday, I was out driving with my dad and I had my JB3 in Map 0 (bypassed). We pulled over, switched spots, I put it in Map 3, and then put him back in the drivers seat. In his first shift into 2nd he goes "ooh. OOH! My God!" That's the first time I've ever heard my devout Christian father use the Good Lord's name like that. It brought a smile upon my heathen face.

Just get the friggin JB3 already.

JB+ is great and comparable to JB3 on Map 3 but much less smooth. IMO you get a bigger initial kick in the pants from a JB+ because the power come up stronger on the low end. The JB3 has great top end power and thats where is really matters. The JB3 is also safer and much more flexible with the map selection.

I run a V4 and its awesome too.

My JB+ is for sale if you're interested. About a month of use.

JB+ is a little aggressive, similar to the SSTT.... I think the power delivery is pretty nasty, and I will be looking towards JB3 too.

Currently got mine on only 50% due to my low mileage, but will up to 100% in the next few thousand miles before finalising my decision to move to JB3.

I want a smoother power delivery but with 360hp.
