New Dinan flash info...
Below is the reply from my local Dinan installer when I asked him about the new flash to take care of the low RPM lag feel. Interesting to say the least!!!
"I spoke with Dinan about this, it is confirmed, and they will pay for it. They say that the problem is not that there is lag, its that BMW artificially adjusted the pedal application on your car. When you give 10% throttle, the BMW computer registers 35% throttle, then varies the remaining 65% throttle over the next 90% of pedal travel. Dinan matched the pedal travel to throttle application, 10%=10%. Dinan's new software will change back to the 10%=35%, then vary the remaining."

So Dinan Warranty, if something breaks as a result in my engine because of increased boost pressure, will the Dinan dealer replace those components?
Of course my Dealer would have to prove it was a direct result correct according to Magnusson-Moss?

exactly... Dinan replaces the BMW warranty... Just an FYI it has been known to happen that Dinan and BMW point the finger of blame at the other leaving the client with no warranty... I think no modding is perfect as far as waranty goes but Dinan is the most secure.

So the only downside to utilizing the Dinan warranty if something goes Kaplooey is the lack of an E90 loaner car or any loaner car for that matter - basically like getting the car fixed at an independent mechanic shop.

Those going with Dinan for the warranty should be very careful to keep all modifications to Dinan parts. Other manufacturer's mods could void even the Dinan warranty and you would be left holding the $bag$. I've heard even a different catback exhaust has caused warranty issues with Dinan.

well there again it depends... some BMW dealers are also Dinan dealers... as its the service shop that give out the loaners you would have to ask that specific dealer/service dept.

Can you reveal your source? I tried to call Dinan several times yesterday but none of their sales advisors answer phones.. or they're very busy.
