M Performance style series - carbon fiber rear diffuser - DIY

I hope everyone is having a great week, and I wanted to post up my latest in my 4 part carbon fiber series!

The latest is part 3, a full CF M2 CS style rear diffuser for the M2 Competition! This is part of the full set from CT Carbon, and looks absolutely fantastic.

The install isn't hard and only takes a few simple tools, so don't be thrown off that you need to remove your bumper cover to do so. The change is easy, and it looks SO good, replacing the matte black plastic piece that was there before.

Check it out!

most out there don't remove the whole bumper to install this, myself included but I will say this, it was a PAIN in the ass and I put a tiny scratch on there (which was totally my fault but still). I think the problem is doing it a first time, if I could do it again it would have not been that hard but as a first time it was definitely a pain. This might be more work but looks like it would be a lot easier.

I did have an oem piece and fitment is I would say 99% perfect so all the tabs went in perfect and looks perfect.

I suspect your tabs probably had the bump/teeth on them to stick in.. I seriously looked at doing this without removing the cover first for sure. Its absolutely possible to get the existing off in place, and if the new one locked in the same, you could snap it straight into place.

I cheated and had a local body shop install my M Performance diffuser. Did it while I waited and didn’t take off the rear bumper cover.

In my defense I don’t have a garage.
