Its always fun to share out your build journey and I wanted to do the same with my new love, this incredible F87 M2C, as I did on my much loved F32.

I will be updating this thread as I move through the build on this truly incredible machine, so bear with me as it gets updated over time. My F32 build took several years, and while I suspect this one will be faster, it will still be a labor of love over time.

As the build progresses, I will share updates, timing and DIY videos throughout the build! I am also planning on getting a good baseline dyno run here soon (2/20 probably) so I can measure progress moving forward from stock!

I know as of right now, there isn't a lot to show here but it will grow.

Name:
Lillith

Birthday: 1/29/19 Leipzig, Germany
Bought: 1/21 (second owner)

Dyno stats:
Stock:
3/11/2021 - 22rpd in Renton
RWP averaged SAE corrected - 403
Torque average SAE corrected - 466.85

modded:
3/11/2021 - 22rpd in Renton
Stock CS Map - Side note, the power curve is RADICALLY different, and is +70rwp at 6500rpm
RWP averaged SAE corrected - 422.1
Torque average SAE corrected - 473.43

3/30/2021 - 22rpd in Renton
Stock CS Map - Active Autowerke catless DP and performance midpipe
RWP averaged SAE corrected - 461.4 (+39.3 over CS)
Torque average SAE corrected - 444.92 (-28.51) (guessing heatsoak)

3/30/2021 - 22rpd in Renton
OTS S2 BM3 Map - Active Autowerke catless DP and performance midpipe
RWP averaged SAE corrected - 503.7 (+42.3 over CS catless, +107.7 over stock)
Torque average SAE corrected - 548.62 (+103.7 over CS catless, +87.22 over stock)

6/21/21 - Custom S2 tune from Cary Jordan, on a Dynojet at CarbConn in Kirkland WA
RWP averaged STD corrected - 500.42
Torque average STD corrected - 511.88

Really stable smooth runs, ZERO issues like I had with the OTS S2 tune.

Black Sapphire Metallic
Black Dakota leather with blue stitching

I saw an M Performance sticker in the pictures. What options are already installed by the previous owner?

Its a start..

Dealership on the day I bought her, and then the obligatory 'holy crap she is my garage' shot later in the evening!

Oh good point.. I should add those to the build sheet since they are extra per se. I will pull the list so I get them right and not off the top of my head. 8)

I used the BMWCCA window sticker. I have the grill badge but I am not a fan of it. It sits in my desk draw.

Most definitely.. will have a video series on it, and see it as critical work even before any RWP work

Sounds like a very RARE thing at bone stock, but would like to avoid it regardless. The car will no doubt be tuned some day.. but building towards that to be ready.

Installed the BMS clutch stop, and candidly, its AMAZING! Probably the best $10 I have spent on my BMW in a long long time. Really changes clutch feel and engagement, and 1st gear is direct engagement especially now, which is really nice with less slop at the bottom of the pedal.

BMW video is pending and in work.

LED backup bulbs installed, simple work and easy and install video is coming there too soon.

Assuming you are LCI, most likely the wedge/blade style I used. Link is in the video description

Ok yall, next DIY video is up today! Simple and easy DIY but I dont know about you, but this makes a massive difference! The engagement especially coming out of 1st gear is night and DAY different. Sincerely probably the best $10 you will ever spend for the manual clutch crowd.

All right yall! The latest video is up though not specifically the M2 per se, but the key fob modification from Gates Innovations! I am really impressed by this change, and feels absolutely worth it!
