Bought 2018 M4 Conv. Comp CPO
Long time BMW fan, this is my 5th ride and I purchased them all and keep them long. 2nd pre-owned. 1st pre-owned e93 335i was from a small auction dealer. The car was great but there was something lacking hence finally got my first M car. The car had some issues like a busted control arm bushing and bent control arm and tires had low tread. The dealer replaced all before CPO (Tires cost $1800 to them, is that normal price for these, I got similar 19" for 335i for $1k). However there are a few scrapes on the bumpers, which they did a very lousy job fixing. They have promised to fix some curb rashes but luckily they are minor. The carafax is clean (it is a CPO, I hope that would mean something) and first service was performed at 1200miles.
Appreciate comments and if I did ok on the deal and what to look out for in the future. Following are the specs and price: 2018 M4 CPO Convertible White/Black, Comp (ZCP), Exec (ZPX), CarPlay + Wireless Charging Original MSRP 89,570 Miles: 22,100 Got for $59,950 + TTL. I also got the 1.49 CPO rate, 90 day no payment + $500 off CPO incentive from BMW finance. Thx Last edited by jeep; 03-19-2021 at 08:31 PM.. |

How many miles in the car? Busted arm? Was the car in a crash?
I have a 2018 F83 zcp purchased in October 2019 @ $65k with 4K miles w/ all carbon bits and Dinan full high flow exhaust and eibach springs with no incidents and maintenance record were there. |

For pricing comparison, in May I plan to buy out the lease on my 2018 F83 that had an original MSRP of $93K, for $52K + tax, so $56K incl. tax. Just under 12K miles due to pandemic, but lease was for 36K miles so that is what drove residual. How many miles on the car? Anyway good look with the car and enjoy.

22,100 miles on the clock. I think the car could have been in a spinout, maybe over a curb. The wheels are in good condition very minor scuffs. It drives fantastic though, no vibrations etc. I bought it from a remote dealer just based on history and pics. It has all carbon trim interior. Came with M Sport floor mats and wind deflector.
RickFLM4 what was the lease that you got on the car? Thx |

It was not off the lot. I had to wait for a car I ordered. So I spent the money to drive it 3x the miles I drove it mostly due to COVID. Since I think the market value is somewhere in the neighborhood of the residual or a little more, and I love the car, I'm going to buy it and avoid another round of new car research and negotiation.

Have you checked underneath the car for the carbon fiber dive shaft? I've never check and my build is sept 2017 build for 2018. The car sits super low to even check. I'll have to check one day when the car is on a lift or something.
