M2 winter setup on M4?
I'm trading in my M2 this week for an M4. Here in NJ we keep getting snow every few days and it looks like that'll be the pattern for the next two weeks. I have a winter set of for the M2 which are BMW Styling 640 M Double-Spoke shod in Michelin Alpin Front: 235/40 R18 95V - up to 240 km/h Rear: 255/35 R18 94V - up to 240 km/h.
Will this set up work on the M4? Thanks in advance, Al.

Too much of a difference in diameter and thus speedo errors etc. with the M2 setup on an M4.

I run also 18" M 640 onto my F83 here with steel brakes...but the speed limit of 240km/h shouldnt bothering you into the US, aint?

Bigger difference between 255/35 & 255/40 than 235/40 & 255/40.

Thanks! I thought I recognized your name!. Long story short, the wheel/tire set up worked 100% fine.

The fronts however, are not too far off (235/40 vs. 255/40) - except that they are almost .8" skinnier and that's actually a really good thing in snow/ice, cause traction kind of sucks on winters in the dry anyway Exactly No need to change out the tires. I'm on my 3rd winter with no issues.
