Tires recommendation for winter (not snow tires)

My Super Sports are toast. I don't plan on driving the M4 in snow, but possibly on cold rainy days if I get caught in it. It can get cold here in Salt Lake. Should I just get the Super Sports again for now?

Mine are done too. I hear the Pilot Sport 4S are better in the wet so have just bought a pair for the rear. Haven't got them on yet

May as well get ps4s' if you're just looking for summer tires. They will perform better in wet than pss.

But depending on what your definition of 'cold' is, you may or may not want to get winter wheels.

Most of these summer performance tires work just fine in wet conditions down to about 45. Below that they just about never get up to temp and are hockey pucks.

My fronts are in good condition , would it be ok to run the ps4 in the rear with the pss in front for now?

I replaced my pss with ps a/s 3+. The steering response is almost the same and i get better dry and wet traction with the all seasons at temps up to 65 degrees. Hasn't been warmer since i made the change to tell at higher temps. I tracked such tires with an Audi last year and got compliments from a Porsche driver. He was shocked when i told him I had a/s tires. They seem great for my track needs and experience level. Will see if i will be able to get up my driveway in light snow...
