The same coding can be done in BimmerCode as well (FEM and REM modules). It's done in easy mode and doesn't require Expert Mode.

The hardest part was freeing the inner panel from the trunk lip trim. I didn't want to break it, and just couldn't figure out how to free it after taking off the four pop rivets. I was able to muscle the liner out and from there it was a cakewalk.
Wait, why didn't you just code it out?

Cool! Is the connector for the light in the knob already there or did you have to make one?

It comes with it but you don't use it anyway as the M2 doesn't have a connector for this. You have to splice the wires with the DC power going to the surrounding buttons. You can just used the M Performance Pro shifter instructions.

We'll see how these do on the shit post-winter Chicago suburb roads. I have autocross learning at the end of the month - why not take it more seriously.

AA midpipe goes on with this as well. I hope the bug stops biting as the vette is supposed to be the mod car.

It's been on the CS+ tune for 2 weeks now. Highly recommend. It was just as fun building the raspberry pi OBD wifi agent.

No need to remove the brace.

The pot has a threaded hole where you could put a nipple and small dia line on.

You could run that down to an accesible point. Lot of hassle though and it won't clean the baffles etc which is important too to keep it working properly.

Honestly. 2 minutes to remove it and then clean out properly on the bench...

Maybe, but if you don't want your front turbo, intercooler and inlet manifold full of oil film and mess over time then it's an essential and cheap addition IMO..

Oil coated intercoolers are also much less efficient at cooing the charge air..

My OCC is in place doing its job quietly.

Whaaat??? The M2C doesn't have a lighted shifter? Of course not a huge deal, but this will be the first M car I have owned that didn't have one...

Nice job with the M5 shifter conversion; I may need to do the same.
