Introduction
Hey everyone, I started this thread to begin documenting the build and photos for my M2 Competition. I picked up this vehicle on 09/04/18 and have been completely in love with it. This vehicle represents both my first BMW and M car I've owned. Previously cars I've owned include a '10 GTI, '13 BRZ, '15 WRX, and '16 Golf R. My cars have always leaned heavily on OEM+ builds so I expect to be adding quite the collection of M Performance parts over time; however, I'll definitely be taking my time to enjoy the car as-is. Hope everyone enjoys the thread!

3 months into ownership, things have been progressing along at a nice subtle pace with following:

Full Paint correction and ceramic coating, including wheels and calipers, was completed by Glaze Technica

Suntek Ultra PPF-C, Suntek 30% tint, and Clearplex windshield skin was installed by Ultimate Shield

The 1200mi break-in service was completed at Irvine BMW

The car was dropped off for an amplifier upgrade and software tune for the HK system by OEM Audio Plus

Now it's time to move on to more exciting things. The M Performance CF mirror caps were installed early on before the car was corrected and bra'd. Since then, I've accumulated the other M Performance CF accessories, which right now consist of the rear diffuser, side gills, side skirt winglets, and front grille. My front lip/splitter should be arriving towards the end of the month, after which I plan to have everything installed all together.

What are your opinions on the Match Up7 amp? Worth the money? Any speaker upgrades, or was there significant improvement even w/the stock HK speakers?

I would say so, although full disclosure I only paid labor cost for the install (installer is a good friend of mine and I've helped him with things in the past). Significant improvement in mid and low range clarity and power. Everything was with stock speakers. We may eventually upgrade all the speakers but as of now we don't see really any need. I think the amplifier will satisfy the majority of the people.

Yeap, the only one that comes stock is the dead pedal. The rest is an accessory option.

As we close out 2018, I ordered a set of 763M wheels that should be arriving next week. Also picked up a set of the tricolor decals for the car and lastly still waiting on my front lip to arrive. I want to do everything all at once so it looks like I'll be closing the year out with the car still pretty much factory. Love the car as it is but very much looking forward to its transformation next year!

. Awaiting my last piece ordered before the year end, which is the front lip. But everything currently listed under the pending install list has arrived!

I know the install cost was cheap, but an amplifier really provides limited benefit on the stock system. The speakers are the weak link. I replaced all the drivers with Focal speakers and it was a huge improvement. I would highly recommend it.

Hope everyone had a good new years and are starting out 2019 strong! I find that sometimes getting a nice angle on this car can be difficult at times, but I'm privy to the rear 3/4

Far more, importantly, its wheel swap time. The weather turned foul before I could snap some more so this will just be a tease for now:
