Help with DIY MPE install
Recently bought a used MPE off facebook market place but it didnt come with the bluetooth module(it really didnt come with anything other than the actual exhaust). I called my local BMW dealer and tried to order the missing parts but they said there is no way to get that stuff without ordering an entirely new exhaust from BMW. Anyone here know if this is possible? The seller works at BMW and bought it off a customer so he does not have these parts.
I really need: - The bluetooth module and button that controls it - The clamp - Instructions would be nice In retrospect i shouldve done more research on what i needed for this exhaust. |

Hope this helps a little bit. Hopefully someone can assist with the BT controller. Someone on here has posted the actual installation instructions (photos).

I haven't seen anyone successful in buying the MPE valve electronics yet. You might be able to swap in the OEM exhaust valves and run them to the OEM system. That might be the easier way to get working valves. There is a thread somewhere here about that.

Here is the company that produces the BT module: https://www.redarchmanufacturing.co.uk/contact-us/
Hope this helps. Anthony1s has a good suggestion. Take a look in this section for the thread on swapping in OEM valves. Last edited by ///Monika; 01-13-2020 at 05:57 PM.. Reason: Removed link to instructions (was for BT pairing). |

thanks a bunch, ill have to find that thread and see how it they've done it. My main concern is that the 2 valves wont be able to talk to each other. To my understanding, the OEM only has one valve controller and it is controlled VIA the driving mode you're in. The MPE has 2 valve controllers so I would need the wire to get them to sync up

Try this cable with the OEM actuators # 18302414899
the MPE actuators have the # 18302409515 printed on them the OEM actuator has the # 18308632154 printed on it Remember not to run the actuator when it is not screwed to the exhaustvalve on the exhaust. you might run it to far and break it. I accidentally did that. |

Installed mine a couple years ago, but here are the links I used (in case the attachments don't upload). Like others have said, hardest/longest part was cutting the old one out. Local autoparts store lends tools, but sometimes you get the new one and other times you get the dull old one.

taingy_sauce Also just realized that BMW calls it the "M Performance tailgate silencer system retrofit kit" on the instructions I just uploaded. Even the German google translates to "flap silencer system"

I'm in the same boat - I bought my MPE second hand and it didn't come with any of the wiring or clamps. I found a company called CG precision that offers a valve control system for the actuators

sweet, what are your thoughts on this system? Also if you don't mind me asking the price range? Im reaching out to Red Arch, the company that manufactures the wiring harness and BT module, but haven't heard back from them yet

Here's the link to that. Look at the last two comments https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=24459548 And the part number https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=18302414898 |
