The G8X frameless rearview mirrors are cool.. wonder if they can be used here?

Got a chance to drive both the new M3 and M4, and love the rear view mirror! Is essentially frameless, has a wider view and looks great too!

It made me wonder if its possible to move over to the M2C. Other random thoughts every time BMW updates a model.. lol

I just wish the mirror in the M2 didn't hang so low.

I am running a Radar-Mirror Escort Max CI display in the "older" M3 shape. I like it better than the M2 mirror.

Hopefully realoem will get caught up soon with parts diagrams to make sure.

I sat in the new G80 today and i think it's the same mirror. It's definitely the same mirror as the one G20 and BMW shares parts all the time.

I appreciate that.. trying to figure out exactly what would match to my car based on the G20 mirror info in Realoem.

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_A388

For vehicles with
Integrated universal remote control
and
High-beam assistant
S319A=Yes
S5ACA=Yes

Rearview mirror EC / LED / GTO / FLA 51169476753

So then I look at my VIN lookup

319 Integrated Universal Remote Control
5AC Autom. High-beam Headlights Control

So 6753 makes the most sense when I match up the Yes/No values looking through the list.. but WOW that is not a cheap piece of hardware!

HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!

I found a 51169476753 mirror on Ebay Germany for 450 Euro.. made an offer for 200 euro and they accepted!

Figure worst case, if the conversion doesn't work I will just sell it and get my money back.

Got it worked out! The install was perfect and the DIY video is uploading now. I will share out as soon as it is ready.

Well I would check realoem though I don't know if they have the latest part diagrams up yet.
