Not wide enough, as usual.

The CS is tuned/engineered for the track so put 265 up front and 285 out back and maintain the 20mm difference.

Except I put 295s on my F80 and it has made a significant (positive) difference in traction. 265 simply isn't wide enough for 450 BHP...or 405...or 365 (aka, it's too skinny on ALL the M2s).

I'm not talking about traction, I'm talking about stability. BMW has way too much time invested tuning the M2 on those particular tire sizes.

Why do we even bother? BMW clearly doesn't want to spend the capital on their flagship car, lets be honest. |

If it makes such a difference, they can pull parameters from the M3/M4 and change a few values to suite what they want. |

Agreed. A whole new protocol of development and testing would be needed if the tire size were to be changed. Never mind that, I just wish we got the Cup 2 tires on the CS's here in the US!

BMW M2 already has/had 4 OEM tire options available, so needing to develop a new protocol and spend time testing hasn't stopped them before.
