Intercooler Piping Upgrades for M2C

Hey guys, I'm planning to get these pipes from ECS as an upgrade along with a flash tune:

Just wanted to check if there's anything else I should be looking for, apart from good fitment of the charge pipe and TIC pipes? Saw this video and really liked the finish, fitment seem quite okay too. I know the stock pipes rarely fails but just wanted a peace of mind before it turns into a problem lol.

I had my charge pipes fail on my M4 while I was doing a mountain run. Scared the hell out of me and I thought that it was my crank hub.

Have since then upgraded them. Running VRSF chargepipes now on the car. Not a complicated part at all so not worth going expensive on them

Pretty much, just check reviews for good fitment. My friend went FTP and they do the job nicely.

Somethings to note.

Alu pipes might suffer from a bit more heat soak than plastic/CF/silicone

Silicone ones might bulge over alu/plastic/CF leading to some throttle response loss

All very very minor deltas tho.

I have the racing dynamics charge pipes on my f82 and they do the job nicely as well. Fitment is fine, no issues. I do not notice any additional heat soak.

I've got the Masata pipes on the N55 M2, I must say quality is so much better than the ones from VRSF. I've got a friend that just got the exact same set in the video from Masata for his S55 M3 the other day. IMO for the extra $40 just get the Masata ones and you won't go wrong. I can try to get some pics if that helps?

Thanks for sharing! Didn't see much discussion on the material so this really helps. I think Alu pipes are the go to ones though, CF pipes are just crazy expensive

Nice! How was the fitment for you, no issues? And yeah do you have some pictures of the pipes fitted on the S55 engine? Couldn't find much fitted photos for these pipes.

Thanks Mike, heard a lot about ER but the price is just crazy high! Even with only the CPs, price is still higher than the Masata ones...

What's the difference between the FTP and MAD ones other than the price difference?

No issues I am aware of.. many many great choices out there in pipes. The Masata are excellent and also just installed a Kies Motorsports branded set into my M2C.

It's good to have choices!

Update: Decided to go with the masata pipes, quality is good.

The pipes are like the stock ones in terms of fitment. I know some of these pipes make it hard to fit the engine cover after its fitted, but there were no issues with the masata ones. Had to use some grease for it to fit as the j pipes were quite a tight fit. Otherwise, quality is great!
