How many folks interested in the AWE carbon fiber intake?

Hey yall!

I talked with AWE leadership at the Kies Auto Show, and spoke in detail about their really awesome CF intake system. Apparently it will not fit into an M2C, as clearances are different in the rest of the F8X line. They said they would put out an F87 model if there was enough interest.

So.. I thought to throw up a poll here and if we can get enough responses, I will forward it onto them as an example of why they should do this!

Thoughts?

Thanks for voting yall and more votes the better. I plan on forwarding this info to AWE to show any interest.

I'd be interested to hear what tolerances are different considering the F8x intakes are all the same and the Competition has the same carbon brace.

Air box caps didn't fit. Not enough clearance. My car was used for the test fit.

I have heard the same and very cool you were the test car! Just throwing it out to gauge interest if they did make one.

Do you recall where it made contact? I'm curious if the CS hood will have clearance

I have it in my car. The driver side fits perfectly. The passenger side rubs the carbon box against the car but i out double sided tape to protect it. It's also doesn't seat properly all the way down but it's not that big of a deal.
