Fabspeed Sports cat
Evolution Race Works Black Alumimium Hard Piping (hot and cold side + turbo pipe).
Pure Turbos Inlet Pipe
ITG Panel Air Filter

I've never data logged as such quite interested in it and possible getting BM3. It's def not as a big in the uk as it is in the US.
As a side note, be careful with the foam filter. They need replacing often or they start to lose filtration ability while slowly being sucked into the engine
Yeah I agree a foam filter is not a good idea

Allowing sand and crap to pass right thru into the turbo/engine

I've been looking at a 'induction kit' but have not found 1. Sensibly priced 2. One I believe will benefit. (I've read the thread someone posted on here which was good information)

So maybe I'll make more effort and get one.
In the mean time I'll get a new pannel filter better safe than sorry.
Got a few trackdays coming up including Nurburgring so want no hiccups
Ah man. I'd love to get out on the ring!

I'd recommend either the OEM filter or the AEM dry-flow as it seems to also work very well.

A good buddy of mine was a filtration engineer. He always stands by OEM
Did you mean AFE?

Great filter IMO
AFE* my apologies

Amazing that this factory ECU can adjust so much

Clearly the N55 still had many restrictions

My car runs absolutely amazing

I'm still on a stock cat

Plus I'm finding that as I get older, I am getting more and more lazy when it comes to data logging and monitoring logs every time I change gas stations, or finding an e85 station to hit that e30 mix.

Performance mods include:
300 cell HJS downpipe
MST turbo inlet v2
Turbosmart plumb back
Wagner Evo 1
ER charge pipe
AFE Pro Dry drop in filter
That MST Turbo Inlet v2 is a nice piece. Did you feel any difference with it va stock for power delivery or throttle response?

Huge difference actually

Like sucking out of a huge straw vs a smaller one

I'd say it's absolutely one of the best mods for the OG M2 without question

I consider the afe panel time to time but chicken out. Some say 6mt shifting is worse with it?

MST turbo inlet is a must.

A highflow cat may add some peak power, but the torque gains will be really noticeable. A tune will really just clean up the power curve, add more torque and just a bit more peak power.

I would personally just do a custom tune before I would buy an OTS tune for the M2 - it's just not that much better.

Tune adds torque and midrange, not too much up top. I would consider a custom tune.

Going to add a new sports cat then I'll figure out who'll be tuning my car

Thanks for the link - Interesting read

Any idea what type of power can be gained from the MST inlet? My apologies If I've missed that response somewhere

I've personally never dynoed my car…

However I am probably one of the few who installed it without doing the Diverter Valve simultaneously

It's a huge improvement. Huge.

It's like sucking out of a much larger straw. Throttle response is superb compared to stock. Comfort mode feels like mdm mode.

I highly recommend it

Euro 6 300 Cell

Noice...I have one of these I had to beg Fabspeed to sell it to me; I ran the 200 cell until I had a cel....very happy with my 300 cell Euro 6. It looks OEM, sounds almost OEM (but better) and runs strong all the way up to redline!!!!!

Great to hear

Thrilled to have it

Did you install it on a lift?

300 Cell Euro 6

If I had access to a lift I would have, it is fairly straight forward job but I had it swapped out at a local shop...

I want to learn more about the stock parameters on the factory tune and just what we can "get away with" with no I'll effect.

Example, I've heard some argue against catless or sport cats as they say fuel trims will lean out over time. I personally haven't seen this, however.

Does anyone know where to find that information?

Running a straight pipe is not something I'd personally do on a stock tune, because the car can run super lean without a Cat

There are some people who are running a straight pipe on a stock ECU… I think that's a bit risky IMO

It's amazing how well my M2 runs currently
I cannot wait to install my new Euro 6 Cat

A buddy and I installed my dp on some taller jack stands in a couple hours. We also helped another friend install one on a lift. I wouldn’t say the lift was a huge advantage. But you do want jack stands that can safely extend to 18 inches or more.

Dropping the exhaust did make it a bit easier to get the upper band clamp lined up. Only a few bolts and you can slide it out the back.

Also, I’d recommend getting two new band clamps and the fiber gasket before you get started. You might be able to get away with reusing them, but it’s fairly cheap insurance to replace and hopefully avoids any issues that stall the project or send you back to do it twice.

I bought all new hardware, but thanks for looking out for me

I'm using a lift this Friday simply because my garage is a single and it's tight and I only have two Jack-stands and I'm sure you know the the limitations with only two vs four

I am excited to get it installed
