If your dealer is saying you can get Individual for the M2 Competition?
You can't.

With $24k, I would spend it all on M performance parts.
It's a very involved process for the 2 series, which includes transferring the vehicle to another location for painting.

I wouldn't pay for it on my daily driver, even if I could swing it simply because if some degenerate with minimum liability (10k in NY state) smashes into me and I'm depended on some local body shop to repaint it, it makes whole process a waste..

On a weekend car, maybe but probably still no.
I'm sorry but I don't buy that - it's like saying I might get my girlfriend pregnant so no sexy time.

Also, what body shops have you been too? I'm positive mine could repaint my car, individual or not. It's not made out of lunar dust, it's still just paint!

What the hell are you talking about?

It's a $25,000 paint job and I live in a congested city, excuse me for having some common sense..

I am aware they're using just paint and not the blood of the Virgin Mary, doesn't mean a shop with $100 spray gun and bake booth can exactly duplicate the quality of a half-million robotic painter.

I'm sure it will look "good enough" but 25k great? I wouldn't exactly bet on it.

If you really wanted the car (I'm not saying you do), then not buying it in the color you want based on something that might happen is silly.

I stand by the body shop comment. Not all are great but you just need to find the right one.

I was speaking hypothetically, of course; my hard-working grandmother would spin over in her grave if she heard I spend 25k on paint, on sheer principle.

And beside, this is a 60k car; who in their right mind would spend more than 1/3 it's value on the paint.

It's a silly option but interesting nonetheless.

If you combine the paint with the M Carbon parts featured a few weeks back you can have yourself an M2 that costs over 110...that's...incredible.

For a billionaire, $24k is pocket change, especially if you're spending it on something you truely love.

For a person to collect BMW's while being able to afford any car he or she could possibly want, gets my respect.
