Someone in US is getting a San Marino Blue M2 Competition
Looks like someone in the US managed to place an Individual color order on their M2 Competition. Just like with the Michael Fux's Austin Yellow M2, this one is painted in Leipzig with plastic parts done at another factory.
Unlike other Individual M2 Competitions, this one looks like a customer car. UPDATE BY Artemis (MAY 2019): Follow-up on this car: see this thread ("M2 Competition Individual Paint for $24k") (May 2019). |

I emailed the individual team a few weeks ago and they told me it was $20,000 USD for the paint work on this car for anyone wondering how much it is

Seems about right, considering Leipzig's plant isn't normally set up for Individual paint. That guy must really love that color.

I'm in the 'whatever floats your boat' camp. If you can afford it and it makes you happy, do it.

lol wtf. This is something I'll never understand about Individual. San Marino is already an existing paint offered on other M's. Why would it cost that much to apply that same paint on the M2C?

Looking forward to seeing the pics.I still hope someone orders an individual Estoril Blue or Laguna Seca Blue M2C before production ends for the F87.

I think they have to transport the M2 to another plant to get painted and then ship it back to Leipzig to finish production. Its a very costly process.

Probably a deterrent price. BMW prices it so high most people won't do it and if you want to pay them 20K then I guess it makes it worth their trouble.

The Faux car ended up being 120k+ car when done, wondering how much this would be.

Yeah...being able to afford it and having the stomach to do so (regardless of wealth) are two different things. I could not deal with a $20K paint job on a car like the M2C. Of course, I'm not a billionaire, so there's that.

Just PPS your car and done! Much cheaper...
Amazing that this person managed to get it. I asked and I begged, but the previous M CEO said "no, no & no" and then said "Stop asking". MR |

I agree that this would be costly and probably annoying - but I can't see how this can cost anywhere near $20K.
