Turner skid plate DIY - Easy way to protect the oil cooler!
Hey yall!
I wanted to share out my latest project on something that I see as a vital upgrade for the F8X models. The M2C/M3/M4 have the oil cooler radiator mounted horizontal under the nose of the car. While they are in a good spot for air flow, they are also exposed to rocks and rock debris. There are lots of examples of how a rock can skip up and damage, or worst case, punch a hole in the radiator or other front end havoc. This is the best solution I found, and had it recommended as a "must do!" from a number of owners. That is the amazing Turner Motorsport aluminum skid plate from Kies Motorsports! The install is really straight forward and will bring a much higher level of protection for sensitive components like the radiators. I HIGHLY recommend one of these for your F8X car, especially the M2C where the new piece extends across the entire front nose section. Check it out!
