Neighbor up the street has a loud af 440i and makes me miss my 440i that had the MPPSK every time it drives by. I forgot I was the second post of this thread but I finally ordered mine a bit ago, only got the backbox in. Pretty excited though.

I've got a Remus Race attached to an AA Single Resonated. The transition between the systems works, but took some extra time to fit smoothly. Not a big deal IMO, but something to be aware of depending on how handy you are.

Purchased the AA axle-back paired with OEM mid-pipe from Mike@XPH. Received it on Thursday and got it installed yesterday. I have to say - I am really impressed. I drove it in all different modes and didn’t notice any rattles or drones. It’s around 20-30% increase of loudness outside - but I don’t hear it inside the cabin with the windows up - and this is a very good thing for me because I didn’t want to be miserable on long drives. Get this exhaust if you don’t want to mess with too much on your car!

Nice! How long did it end up taking for yours to come from your order date? I’m patiently waiting for mine to come in can’t wait to pair it up with my AA equal length.

Took 2 weeks after order date. I only got the back box at first, then took about another weekish before I got the midpipe.

I have this setup on my 2020. I have the car setup to run with the valves closed until I hit my Sport, or Sport Plus settings. Either of those will open the valves. So I can cruise around stealthy until I want to have fun...

You should hear it at a track at WOT.... its freaking awesome!

I was waiting until I put some time and miles on the system before I made a post.

-Start up is a lot louder now, there's an initial bark now that scares me if I'm backed up against a wall or something.
-Valves closed/Efficient is definitely louder too, almost too loud for me. During normal driving and even on the highway I can hear it, just on the edge of being a drone. It mostly gets drowned out by road/wind noise or my music. Not a huge deal but would still prefer it to be a bit quieter. Feels like it's louder than stock Sport.
-Valves open/Sport is much much louder. More or less perfect to me. I should have done more revs and pulls at stock before I switched over so I could compare it better. But from what I can tell, it's a much higher pitched tone that really highlights the higher revs of this engine.
-As others have said, the burbles are MUCH louder. I almost never drive in Sport+ and only in Sport so it doesn't annoy me that much. I think the burbles sounded much better in my 440i but I like it as is for now. Maybe later I'll code them out

I checked the clearances at install but I still get some vibration if the exhaust is really warmed up. I've only heard it after driving for 30+ minutes and then after starting up again with the AC on. I haven't heard it again with my normal commute though, probably doesn't get warm enough.

I think if I had experienced this earlier I would have gone with the resonated version, but it doesn't annoy me enough currently to spend the money and time to switch over.

I already have the AA equal length non-res installed on my car for awhile now. Just got my AA back box in this week and will be getting it installed next week. Seems from your review it should be quite a bit louder than my current setup which is what I was hoping for. I’ll see if I have any vibration issues after the install as well.

Looking for some general advice regarding the ordering of this exhaust. I am a little confused about what option to order. I currently have the AA Single Mid with resonated connecting pipes. I would like to stay resonated so is this what I would need to select when I order? I don't see the option to use with resonated connecting pipes on Active's site.

You can use non, or resonated without issue. I ran tests with them all and have a video up for it.

I saw that. Thank you. The videos of install and comparison are excellent. I see the connecting pipes are just a different length but still can still be resonated.

Still doesn't make much sense to me about what I am getting if I order for use with "active autoworke midpipe - resonated". Will I get the circled red connecting pipes, but with resonators with that option (and the axle back portion of the exhaust)?

The part that's circled is a part of the axle back, it does not change based on your midpipe selection.

Its always going to be a straight pipe.

If you choose the midpipe resonated, then the midpipe will be resonated and not the part circled.

Got it! Thank you. So if I already have a AA single midpipe and I want to stay resonated I have to get a different version of the midpipe that works with this exhaust at the time of ordering. I was trying to figure out if I could reuse what I already have. I appreciate the clarification

Is that correct? Aren’t those the connector pipes that they show with the axle back and with the mid pipe? See the attached picture of the resonated connectors pipes. These are the pipes between the mid pipe and the muffler.
