What is PPF and is it worth it?

This was so much fun, I wanted to share it right away! My M2 Comp came with a partial PPF wrap, first car I have had with it installed.

Candidly I know little about it, so I reached out to Prestige Auto Salon in Seattle for information. The owner Jack invited me to come down to check out his shop, so I leapt at the opportunity.

I thought I would share what I learned, not only for PPF but wraps and other great options!

So after a bunch of conversations with Jack at PAS, I am going for it! Its going to be May, but I am going to be doing a full 'frozen' stealth wrap on my M2C!

They have an incredible film that will make your car look like one of the frozen paint styles, without all of the hassle of the maintenance of that paint, plus ceramic coating built in and all the goodies!

I cannot WAIT to get this done!

Please say it isn't so.

It would be a shame to cover such a beautiful car!!

I appreciate that and the love for the car. First I saw a different gloss black car recently go through stealth wrap, and its stunning, which got me thinking. Also the PPF on my car is only partial: nose, hood, quarter panels and the famously wide hips. It really needs to be redone as there are some dings in it now, plus is peeling slightly at the bottom of the nose.

So.. if I am going to redo it anyway.. then maybe the whole car.. then STEALTH WRAP! (or that is how the thought pattern went). The frozen look on a car that couldnt get it, and without the massive hassle of maintaining that type of paint.

So yeah.. going for it. 8)

The frozen wrap will look sick! I've thought about it myself for when I have to replace the ppf on my car. I'm sure I have several years to go but it would be cool to switch things up a bit at some point. Plus the frozen looks so good. Post pictures after you get it!
