So I seen lots of write ups on this group about M2 CCB . But I haven't seen anyone try to put F80 CCB's on the new M2C . Are they plug and play ? They are the same calipers and rotors look the same size but wondering if it's an easy swap out . Will I have to buy extra parts ? . Can anyone help me out ? I know of someone wanting to trade plus cash wondering if it easy swap . Thanks Joe

If they had to use it on the M2 in the thread I linked, you'll probably need it on an M2C as well. But, if you have the 2NH brakes, maybe don't fit it and let us know how you get on, as maybe it's not required.

M2C https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=34_2199 M4 GTS https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=34_2407 Brake booster is also different M2C https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=34_2206 M4 GTS https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=34_2206 The MC is the same though. Coding has to be done to alter some of the behaviour of the panic braking etc. But why? cost wise an AP kit will be way better for track and unless you track you don't need CCBs. PS: the gold calipers are also 5mm more outboard than the silver calipers which is needed as the disc is a bit bigger see here https://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=112685

The 5mm difference is between the F8X gold/silver calipers and the F10 M5 blue calipers |

When a M3/4 is spec'd with CCB, the car is fitted with a "weaker" booster, it is the same booster that comes on the OG M2 (well it use to be, not check for a couple of years) That is why, when you buy the retro kit direct from BMW you get a new booster in the kit. The "standard" booster on the M3/4 is too strong for the CCB brake kit. I ean the CCB calipers on my last M2C and ran steel rotors. |
