BYU, thank you for the post. I’ve called several of the dealers from the link you posted. I ran a similar search on autotrader. Most only come down on the MSRP about a $1k or so. The local Dallas ones were the worst. They said they would discount $500. I plan on calling a few more around the country. Thanks again for your help!

It's necessary and appropriate that my first post in the forum is to thank the contributors in this thread. I read it beginning to end and used the EXCELLENT data points and anecdotes to negotiate pricing. Here's the short version:
Currently live in Tampa, went to contract Friday with a dealer in Atlanta, car ships Tuesday and arrives Wednesday. Ordered a 2021 M2C (specs: HS, DCT, moonroof, exec package). Negotiated with the two dealers for a few days last week and was firm that I wanted 6% off MSRP based largely on input from this thread. The local Tampa dealer would not budge from 3%, the Atlanta dealer was happy to offer 6% AND cover shipping. The rest is history. Tip of the hat, Gents. |

Also want to thank everyone in the forum for their feedback and thoughts—Lots of great info! Just purchased my first M, a 2021 M2 Competition (DCT, Exec Package, Moonroof, AW exterior). Dealership then had already added window tint, wheel locks, and first aid kit bringing total MSRP to $65,644. Negotiated and got them to $65k OTD all-in so feel pretty good on the discounts and purchase price. Dealership also included BMW 101 Experience at PC in SC to be scheduled.
On financing, there were able to 2.69 @72months on the finance numbers. Did offer 1.9% @60months too. First impressions are amazing as you can imagine. Great ride, and feel very solid going around corners. Looking forward to continuing to break this in for the first 1,200 miles and then truly unleashing it. Thank you all! |

Congrats! Where is this? 10% is mighty impressive/impossible on the coasts, but should be doable in the middle of the country where the economy is hurting a lot more and the luxury/sporty car market is doing a lot worse off.

East Coast dealer, Baltimore. I've used the same guy for years and has always given some good pricing. Even when purchasing out on the West. Anyone in the country and purchase and have the car delivered locally.

Looks like same financing rates and lack of incentives for Nov 2020. 0.9% APR for MY2020, 1.9% APR for MY2021.

M-performance parts/ discounts
All,
I live in VT and am shopping around in the neighboring states.. Here is what I am looking for: a 2021, M2C in sunset orange, orange stitching, Carbon Fiber trim, black wheels, 6speed manual, executive package. My question is, if I custom order this and add a fair number of m-performance parts, can I expect a discount on the entire build or should I just expect it on the base car? M-performance parts I would like to consider adding to the final build: Carbon fiber front grill, carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber rear diffuser, carbon fiber rear lip spoiler, carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber winglets. I would also like to get the 763M wheels in black,(what happens with the stock wheels? Can you get a credit for them?) thanks so much -John |

I believe you can get those discounted as well. I recall when I ordered my '14 328i with some CF goodies, it was all included in the total price and discount applied.

I wanted the M2CS spoiler too and the dealer said I could not order through them as you needed a CS VIN. Got it from IND instead with no VIN needed.
