Also with adaptive suspension systems, it's just as much in the algorithm software as the hardware, and Porsche does that a lot better than BMW. P-Cars are always buttoned down on both compression and rebound strokes. BMW does compression stroke well, but they do a really poor job on the rebound stroke and that unsettles the chassis.

Been out of pocket for a few days. So I’ve been reading through this thread.
I haven’t decided if I’m going to fill my allocation - my internal limit for this car had been 80k. So if this price is accurate, it presents a bit of a difficult scenario for me. I think the car will be great - but I’m not sure if that’s just too much to pay. Not sure what I will do to be honest....

Life's too short... Blah, blah, blah.. And beside, this might be the last manual, German-made M2 before they switch over production.. End of an era, grab it before they start a new one.. |

However, I'm still trying to rationalize the price vs other P cars that maybe available at a similar price point. |

I really want that front lip on my m2c. That’s about it. Had that hood on my m3 and it was a bit distracting for me.
Are CS specific parts going to be available? We’re they for the f80/82 cs? |

However, if there is a better stock offering, I'm more skewed towards that. Nothing personal, same as when I wanted a BMW with a B58 motor but the minute they released a TU version in the M340i, I was smitten. Oh, that car is a ton of fun! BMW keep moving the goal post and I keep chasing.. |

Dude. They banned me for two weeks and won't "allow"me to post in the G8x forum any longer because of my hatred for that monstrosity of a grille. Removing posts and banning people won't stop anything. All opinions should be heard even the negative ones

I will not buy a small size ""BMW"" for that money. Not talking about 5 mm or 50 mm size difference here. I would 100% buy a small size cayman, because of my own reasons that none else has to agree. It's our money and to each their own. And it's also our opinions and preferences, there is no right or wrong in absolute sense. Price and size don't have a correlation of course, we all know. I (keyword here) personally don't see any value in a $85k 2 series, for same reason as I never understood the craze for an M2. Bmw bloated a perfectly right size E90 platform M3 sedan/coupe to make room for a 2 series and now in 2019 the world is going bonkers with plethora of M cars everywhere in different flavors like your gelato in a shop (ok bad analogy bmw is not Italian lol) .

Upcoming BMW design is being put in place to have staying power during the electric revolution. You sell the future by looking futuristic.

Yes, if I was to buy a M2CS, it would have been a manual. But, I don't buy my cars to sit as a collectible, I buy them to drive and enjoy. |

yes, I know its for racing and automatics are faster I'm not your typical paid by the hour/minute/second guy... shaving off 2 seconds per lap doesn't do it for me. I can be 3rd place or 24th place and be very ok with shifting gears.
