Need LCI owners help! Need to know voltage ratings for the tail lights
NEED HELP from owners of LCI M2s who have bimmercode. I'm curious to what the factory has set for the Voltage ratings for the tail lights. I attached some information I found online but I'm not sure the 13.7v is the proper setting. Please note where your located, and I'm preferably looking for US owners to do this check but would be curious to see what other countries have the settings set at.
-Thanks, SM2 |

I don't have BimmerCode and I don't trust it at all. It cost me $50 to get my navigation working again on day two of having my M2... But that's another story.
I use E-Sys, and for my 2018 LCI OG M2, the info you want is here: ![]() I guess that means it's set to 14v on my car.

That said, I will share that I use BimmerCode on the M2 and 750i, and once when coding the 7 it killed the engine (I have the engine running when coding to avoid timing out in the middle of an update) and caused numerous errors when I started up the car, which eventually cleared after a few cycles. It's still worrying though, I'll admit. A subsequent update of BimmerCode seems to recognize this potential, and it clears all the codes that it may have caused. Any of these unauthorized aftermarket updates have the potential to brick the car, so one should always use caution and be aware of the risks. BimmerCode is a lot easier to use, but (I think) a little more limited in the functionality.
