Our friends at Wager-Tuning have sent us a competition intercooler for the M2. We will post before and after dyno results and installation review once it is installed. Similar to their other products we are expecting it to be plug and play and not require us to tear up a gem like the M2.

Is the primary benefit of an aftermarket intercooler that you can maintain power for longer periods of time via a reduction in heat soak? Or does the intercooler actually increase peak power in and of itself? Pardon my ignorance

It depends but a upgraded intercooler can reduce intake temps. Lower temps = more power and may let you run more boost.

She is currently lowered, running the first ever set of forgestar SDC made for this car. We have not put her on the dyno since the intercooler upgrade. I hope to get to it after Mpact. I can share a few pics for curiosity but was hoping to share proper photos while the car is present in our booth.

Can availability? Does this engine have the same oil spray issues as the M235i?

I didn't think the N55 had this issue, well, at least not as bad as the N54.
