Thanks! It's the RKP diffuser. I think it looks pretty close to the OEM CF diffuser, but I like how it doesn't crowd the exhaust as much. It's a little bit cheaper as well. I also really liked the Mode Carbon one but it's a lot more expensive.

No one should have to live with any imperfections on a product and I know RKP stands behind their products. Do you mind sending me a PM with some photos of the area that you were not happy with and we can find a way to address them.

Today i installed the LED Door Projectors. It was a very easy swap. Now it illuminates the M logo to the ground. Fancy.
Also checked the BMS OCC 'cos i removed it for the 2000 km service. It collected approximately 0,5 dl fluid during 1000 km.

Had mine installed yesterday and already coded ASD out. The sound is now perfect for me and it's nice to get a little extra push on aggressive acceleration.

Please keep in mind, I'm in Hawaii and we don't have a lot of quality performance shops around. I took it to a large muffler shop here and they couldn't do it. Then called a performance shop, that did the exhaust on my Z, owner has a modded BMW and they told me, they couldn't do it. Called an authorized BMW service center (not the dealer I bought the car from), was told they're not comfortable if it's not OEM. Called a 2nd authorized BMW service center (also not the dealer) and finally was told yes.

Didn't think it would be that difficult but in the end, it's so worth it!

Agree with the above. Whomever does it has to at least be comfortable with reinstalling O2 sensors. Go to someone who works on BMWs, preferably late model ones. I'd avoid a muffler shop.

Just did the rear parking sensor on/off mod! Perfect for those who find the beeping annoying after backing into a spot, even after putting the car in neutral with the car still running. I followed this thread:

http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1345311

Tip: pulling the shift boot off to access the parking sensor/DSC control panel is the easiest way IMO.

Latest iStep firmware stops the beeping after backing up and then putting car in neutral or gear. So you could go that route as well.

Bled the brakes and gave it a wash. Heading to Road Atlanta in 2 weeks for the last track event of the year. Also wondering what it'll look like after getting Cquartz treatment next week.

Black Front Grill

I blacked out the grill using plastidip (I went with Matt Black). In the process I found that the front was assembled/stamped on Aug 23, 2017. I also found out that the M flag on the front is just a sticker (I was under the impression that it is painted on). Next I will blackout the side chrome fins and rear badge.

Going for black on black everywhere.

What’s the exact date and event at RA? I’m driving my M2 down from Cleveland to Miami this month, and was planning to hit RA on the way down, would love the details and hope to meet you there. Cheers!

I hope it’s OK to post here about what I did to my M2 in the week since taking delivery, rather than strictly speaking ‘today’…

Thursday 11/02
Took delivery after a long wait, and drove back from souther California to northern California.
Worked with my CA to apply 20’ of contact film to the front of the car and rocker panels to protect it for the drive home:

Saturday 11/04 ~ Monday 11/06:
‘New Car Prep’, including:
- Initial wash
- Wheels off clean and application of CQuartz DLUX on wheels (front face & barrels) and calipers
- Thorough inspection of the paintwork to find dealer (or port) gathered defects. I should say that my dealer (Rusnak) was very good; I found a total of 3 areas that needed minor attention, otherwise the paintwork was basically flawless.
- Light polish of all panels with Meguiars M205 with a Black finishing pad. This was my first time using M205 and I was blown away with how easy it was to use, how effective it was at removing minor scratches (a single pass with a finishing pad!) and the quality of the finish
- 2 coats of CQuartz on all panels that won’t be having PPF
- Reload over the CQuartz after waiting for 24 hours
- Ultima Interior Guard Plus on all leather

Monday 11/06
Booked XPEL Ultimate install for Friday 11/10
- Custom Front Bumper
- Headlights
- Mirrors
Ordered DIY Pre-cut XPEL for:
- Whole Hood
- Full Fenders
- Extended Rocker Panels

Tuesday 11/07
Fitted BlackVue DR750S-2CH Dashcam and Power Magic Pro to the car. Credit to Boosted Autos for the video giving advice on the routing of cables around the car; Coax for the rear camera goes down the drivers side, power down the passenger side. I ended up putting expandable sleeving over the wires in a couple of places (in the trunk by the fuse box, and the cables to the front camera) to tidy things up. I was also able to get the BlackVue hardwire cable to make it the whole way from the front camera to the trunk for fitment there.

Photo of the trunk installation:

And the front camera:

Wednesday 11/08
Created a script to automatically look for my dashcam on my home network and back up all new files. Automated this script to run once every hour.
Coded:
- Disable legal disclaimer
- Comfort closing with key fob
- Unfold mirrors when unlocking vehicle
- Fold mirrors when locking vehicle
- Switch off headunit/radio when door is opened
- Disable headlamp washers

This is cool... by create a script, what do you mean?

Re the other coded items.. what did you use to do this? I'm keen to do the same.

Great post!
