Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I own an F80 M3 just so everyone knows what I am comparing the M2 with. Exhaust note on this car in stock form is way better than the M3/M4...for whatever reason this car just sounds meaner in stock form The official HP/TQs are lower than the M3 but this car has no issue wanting to spin the tires freely and it also is much easier to toss around. I found it to be much more forgiving for a driver like myself (novice). The interior is definitely lacking but I guess they had to cut back on somethings...and also to try to minimize sales cannibalism from M4 The seats are MEH,...cause I had read out about the seat position being a little crooked...I paid attention and I was able to spot it... But without having that knowledge first hand I dont think I would have. The instructors at Performance Center all loved the M2 and raved about its grip so for those track junkies this car will be great. I am totally happy with the M3 but if I was in the market for smaller M car and did not need 4 doors the M2 would be a no-brainer. will try to post video as well |

Awesome. I just did a BMW X-drive event and the instructors said by the time they get back to SC the M2's should be there. They were excited the M2 was being added to their fleet.

All M school cars are DCT. No manuals. Cheaper for them that way. No abuse to worry about as far as missed shifts, clutch , etc
I wish they had manuals as well. But no dice. This is my 2nd time there and as always no manuals. |

M2s were at BMW Performance Center West at the beginning of March for dealer demos. Whether they are already in the M Schools or not, I don't know, but believe they would be.

They only had 4 in South Carolina and they said they had very limited #. So it is quite possible that thermal does not have yet and if they do it will be in limited #s.

Drove this M2 in South Carolina 2 weeks back. Think I was either the first or second to drive it. They said their employees break the cars in with personal use before they put it in the fleet.

Yes they are there. At least 6 of them. I was there in March, one of the first to drive the M2s. They were having the BMW training session the next week and had no less than 20 in total.

Thanks for the videos. I still don't hear the "way meaner" sound that some people claim to hear from the M2 relative to the M3/M4, but to each their own.
