Euro MDM on US M2s = Awesome
Had my local coder code in the Euro settings for M Driving Mode, it transformed the car in the Sport+ setting.
Able to get a good bit (MORE) of slip angle going around corners, very fun at safe speeds during daily driving. Haven't tried it at the track yet, going mid-December to Barber, will report back. |

I also had this coding done before my first track event. I am still getting familiar with the car, but ran at AMP and Road Atlanta in S+....car handled great. I was able to rotate and slide with little to no intervention

Does the Euro settings for M Driving Mode only affect Sport+, not Sport? I won't be tracking my car so I don't know if it would be worth coding. I do primarily drive in Sport, using Comfort for long highway cruising.

I believe it will only affect your driving when the dct light is illuminated on the dash....such as S+.

I'm only 8 pages into that thread but I believe those are input values used in a calculation telling the system when to intervene. The first pair and last pair of values do not need to be modified.

I read that thread after you get to page 9, jump to the last 2 pages it looks like after some updates you only need to change 1 value.

I've done some digging and the M5 guys also code the C_GMR_Uebersteuer_0_c & C_GMR_Uebersteuer_1_2_c values. Any reason we don't mess with these? I know the M5 is a totally different car - I have not looked at these values in eSys yet to even see what the options are, but I figured I'd ask. |

Can someone explain what this does that is different than DSC off? I understand you can't have DSC off and sport plus at the same time. For me that is fine as DSC off has less throttle sensitivity than s+ which could upset the car in the corner. If this change is intended to effectively allow both by eliminating intervention in s+ then I'm not interested and I'll let you all continue.

See this thread. http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...1309894&page=2 MDM is activated when you're in "sport +" or "Traction" mode(as its called on my 6MT, when you push the DSC off button once). In this image "traction" mode is called MDM. DSC Off is achieved by holding down the DSC off button for like 5 seconds. |

Basically, it adjust slip-differential, so that the car allows a little more freedom to drift before computer kicks in to correct.

Some of the untouched settings have to do with difference in hardware. Beyond that, I would just be speculating as I do not know.
