16 hours to delivery and counting (pre-delivery pics included)
I got the call today from my dealer, that my car had arrived
You cannot imagine how good that felt. I went there straight away to admire the sexy beamer. She (or he) was pretty dirty due to the long sea trip and beacause of the terrible weather in Cyprus during the last week. My CA proudly presented my car to me, saying that he had personally inspected the car himself this morning and that he found everything to be as expected. I immediately started taking pics of my car, when out of the blue I spotted the fuel cap missing!!! WTF, I thought, when I heard the CA screaming in front of me "WTF"!!! Apparently all kinds of things, that can easily be removed from the cars during transit, are stolen by the vessel's personnel. Thankfully, this unlucky incident will not postpone the delivery anymore, as they keep many fuel caps in stock. "These things happen all the time" (that was a lame excuse, but I was in no place to argue with them). All things considered, this has been a rather long wait (14 weeks in total) from placing the order to the actual delivery of my car. I know I feel great now, but this wait has been slowly kiling me. Anyway, I am only a few hours away from taking delivery of the baby and wish you all the best for keeping my mood up during the last 3 months. |

Ugh...thats really weird - the fuel door not being there. Buh!
Well congrats there! - is that a 335xi? I see sport seats and steering wheel but std wheels (like me ) Very nice, great color...good choice with the black interior I don't think you'll get much sleep tonight - it'll be like Christmas picking that up! --- they should gift wrap them and let you rip it off |

Unfortunatelly, that's only a 318i as it appears in my avatar. Here in Europe I paid for this car 55 thousand dollars (us), which I believe is a lot more than a 335i would cost in the States. What can I say? God bless America would be appropriate I guess.

That steering wheel looks pretty thick. Is it some sort of M package or something?

In other markets around the world, different exhaust tips exist, I believe one of the diesel models has that oval exhaust tip

cars are a lot more expensive everywhere than in usa.
the other annoying thing is the list of extras. for base price you get nearly nothing. |

Congrats, very nice car. Love that color combo. I have an X3 currently and am looking to add an E90 this summer. 335 E90s here in the US range from $46K-$54K depending on options so equivlant to $55K in Cyprus does not seem like a bad deal. I thought cars there were about double what we pay here but the import duties are based on the cc output of the engine, right ? My wife is from Yeri outside Lefkosia and we will be back in June for a vacation. Can't wait to drive on the "wrong" side of the road again. Enjoy your new ride.

I have read an article that BMW is going to produce more cars in the USA to have more control over the EURO/Dollar curency. I think that the rsult is that BMW might be (again) cheaper than in Europe. So good news you overseas folks ! |
