My E92 Widebody Project Diary/Updates

Hello guys,

I just wanted to make a thread to record and document all of the changes that I will be making to my E92. I have received tons of support from many of you posters (remmib, NaViT, SROC3, neilanthony, Not Ur Avg 3, sinnet112, SES_D, cm3rc, Eurofreak, SoCalRS4, jmramos44, koreez88, ironic, lovemyBimmer, slammedbimmer, cantc0pe, and magmd, I respectively give my thanks to all of you guys) and I wanted to be of good service to you guys and show you each and every bit of this project. As I have mentioned earlier in this thread, I have dropped off my E92 to the guys at Technik in Marina Del Ray and I will be making visits every weekend to view the updates. I will keep you guys as updated as I am. Here are a couple of before pictures for us to date back upon once the finished product is here. I apologize beforehand for the poor quality of these pics.

Cool pic of last image:

I am getting these Brushed Aluminum DPE S-15's on my car as well, 19's.

I just wanted to thank E90 post again for accepting me into your guys' community; it is very easy to hate someone and very hard to accept someone. It is because of you guys that I have received inspiration and ideas to modify this car. To all of you that have been courteous and helpful within my stay here, I thank you.

I can't wait to see how it turns out! You're definitely one of the first (sans Technik of course) to get the widebody. Best of luck with the project, your car's in good hands.

Great choice of wheels for a Montego E92 as well

wow - you wasted no time! hope you get a nice aggressive widebody. The boys at technik tend to go fairly subtle with their cars (2 e46s, z4, e90, and e92)

Also I could be wrong but I believe technik does mostly mechanical works and subcontracts body - at least I know on samir's old 330ii the work was done out of house. Not sure though. Wonder if they could comment, I'd love to know myself - lots of respect for their cars.

Well, hope everything goes as planned for ya bud. It'll be hard to get through the days without your car, but it will be well worth the wait.

By the way, does your car have an automatic or manual tranny?

Very nice, wish you the best of luck on the project.

The whole car doesnt need be resprayed, although the fenders in the E92 extend through the A-Pillar.

One thing that is a given is the quality will be superb if technik is guiding the process.

Great idea! Smart of you to start with some "before" pics too.

What's the expected time frame on this anyway? Keep us updated with as many pics as possible!

If I have time time, I may swing by Technik to check on your ride. If you're having bodywork done, they would be outsourcing that. Good luck and I'm excited for you!

Wow, what a project. This is going to be the most amazing Montego. Should give a reasonable clue as to how a Interlagos M3 will look. Good luck!

It takes balls to do that to a brand new car, but if it looks anything like technik's car it should look insane.
