FS: Iphone4 (AT&T) used 2 mths old

GF is selling as she prefers to go back to Blkberry. Its a 16G locked from AT&T in perfect condition. She has no applications downloaded so the phone is a virgin. Comes with all original box, guides, charger, etc. Asking $400 or best offer but no low ball. Prefer local pick up of course. Thanks.

soon but not yet, the latest modem firmware unlock should come out soon

Actually yes but if it dies to be able to turn it on again you need to connect it to a Pc..its a Tethered jailbreak.

As far as I know, an unlock goes hand in hand with a jailbreak, which explains his reply.

You need to jailbreak first, then download the unlock from Cydia... or download a jailbreak that has the unlock already in it.

I've done if for a friend for his 3GS.

certain modem basebands cant be "unlocked" , most firmwares can be jailbroken, two different things

yeah im aware of that, a jailbreak never has an unlock in it...u always download it unless your talking about downgrading the modem and etc

i thought he was referring to the unlock as the jailbreak(one thing) misread and tethered is here as a beta release

iPhone 4 on official 4.1 (2.10.04 BB) - no unlock as of now
iPhone 4 on official 4.2.1 (3.10.01 BB) - no unlock as of now

Only unlockable on 1.59.00 BB (official 4.0.1, 4.0.2), period.

Possible to update an unlockable 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 (1.59.00 BB) to 4.1/4.2.1 without upgrading the baseband, i.e. keeping the unlock. Not possible to downgrade BB.

Can be jailbroken on all versions, all untethered as of yesterday.

Actually called this dude on sat., agreed to $380 (would've gone $400 if it was firm) and he said he'd call me back when he was ready to sell (needed to transfer SIM to BB, whatever), in ~1 day

Called him now and says it's been sold.

PS it was on 4.0.1, meaning it could be unlocked (unless someone hit 'restore' in itunes to erase all their shit)
