Ha people in the UK hate the fender extenders, while people in the US want to add them to their car to look like UK cars lol.

My wife would see this video and notice that he still has the stickers/covers over the M2 seat emblems and be very proud of Chris Harris...
I also want to know what suspension he's running to also still have adaptive suspension available.

Same, it has to be Bilstein dampers from the F82 M4, cause they didn't make anything specific for the M2 CS.

Love my M2C manual. I have had for a year now and every time I go out it just puts a smile on my face. I have had many cars in my life but I'm in love this beautiful thing. Each month I think of selling it because the prices are so good, but I just feel like I want to keep it forever. I had a DCT M2C for nearly 2 1/2 years before that but manual takes it to a whole new level. I don't care that every car on road with automatic outruns me on a red light but on an empty curvy uphill with a downshift all the way to redline, its a poetry. And my cars is 100% stock.

He's going to regret selling that car.
I think anyone that bought a CS for actual use instead of an investment will regret selling it. |

Great review. I agree with him on 95% of it.
However, I prefer the CS without the armrest. I'm guessing he doesn't like the "funky blue"? I think the MB looks great. I didn't quite follow if he likes the steering. He seems to say it's a weak spot and then talks about all the things BMW did to improve it over the M2C. Then he mentions the 1M, is he saying that has better feel? I get that the GT3 has better feel. Very cool video. |

Were the bilsteins custom valved for Lichfield, or is it an off the shelf kit. My impression of that tuner is there is likely a special sauce that would make it beneficial to buy through them. Harris mentioned that soft is more comfortable than stock, and form seemed to be better as well

The M2 comp has some steering feel, but a few days ago, i drove a friend's POS Nissan Sentra and as awful as the car was, the steering did have more feel than that in my M2 Comp (at least when we're talking bumps and pavement imperfections.) So there's plenty of room to be "better than an M2 Comp" without actually having spectacularly good steering feel. |

Have been patiently waiting for this video, given how much praise he seems to have had on the car to trade in his "modified" M2C for it. Been following CH's editorial for sometime dating back to Autocar, EVO, then to the video world of Driver's Replublic, etc. Coming from similar E39 M5 and E90 M3 ownership there seems to be a very keen and similar "///M" passion per se so thought it's always interesting to read his input.
He has the Litchfield B16 / PSS10 Damptronic. Litchfield supplies with some custom springs and internal valving on the dampers (they do not disclose the spring rates or other technical details AFAIK) I ordered a set in Jan as I find the stock ride a bit too skittish / not confidence inspiring on my local roads (bumpy, twisty, and hilly roads which are similar to British b-roads). I went for this set as I look to retain the EDC function in the car and heard good things about this custom setup, mainly from CH, and Litchfield's history of supplying the Bilstein with EDC for R35 GTR (was a R35 NISMO owner at one point). Understand the KW V4 and Tractive also offers on the go electronic adjust-ability but they will be at least +25% more expensive and has probably too much adjustability than I will ever need as my car is for mostly street use. Still anxiously waiting so I can see if all the positive praise is warranted, hope to receive it sometime this month and get it installed ASAP. Last edited by krm; 03-01-2022 at 02:27 AM.. |

You might find it funny to learn that I also tried to keep the stickers on for as long as I could, until one day my wife's hair got caught on the adhesive side of the sticker. So I had to remove it on the spot right then and there before she said another word further.

I addressed two complaints that many had that have reviewed the cs. For me they were definitely not a deal breaker but wanted to rectify them anyway.
I ordered my leather comp steering wheel as soon as I drove my CS for the first time. I believe some of the "feel" is lost due to its size. I have had many hydraulic racks in my past BMW's and they did communicate more to the driver. Removing the overly thick CS wheel was an improvement. I also ordered a comp armrest when I ordered the comp wheel. My solution looks OEM and gives me back the comfort that I a used to when i drive. I read one or two times that he had the car painted. I was thinking that it would be a massive amount of work to do it right. It was nice to hear the truth from Mr Harris that it was indeed a wrap. Makes much more sense.

Also thought I read somewhere before it was a repaint, but it's good to know he still kept the "funky blue" underneath, probably more for resale reasons than anything down the line if he ever wants to move on from the F87. Last edited by krm; 03-01-2022 at 08:16 AM.. |

-I loved the 'paint' color. Happy it was a wrap.
-There are plastic covers on the seat emblems? I'll have to check if they're still there or were removed by the dealer. -I completely agree with his opinion about weight savings and the reference to RS cars. Why they didn't lighten this car more or to the max is beyond me. -I could care less about the middle console. -I'm still not all that comfortable in those seats although I like their look. -The steering is fine but no rack and pinion. -The gearing is wonderful like he says. The singular identity of this car brings a smile to his face and mine. Nice to be validated by a serious and respected journalist.
