Exclamation POLL: G8X Front Lip - M Performance vs Racing Sport Concepts

I am absolutely torn between the M Performance and Racing Sport Concepts front splitter. So, let's have some fun and take an anonymous poll to see which direction everyone is leaning.

Sure, it may be obvious to some which is which, but curious what everyone thinks of these options and if there is a strong preference either way.

Below are two unidentified, side-by-side images of two different front splitters shown at relatively the same angles.

You be the judge:
M Performance (MP) or Racing Sport Concepts (RSC).

I personally don't like the M Performance lip at all so I ordered the RSC lip about 8 weeks ago and still waiting for delivery.
I'm not sure any lip on this car so far has blown me away, but hopefully the RSC will look good

RSC! And paint match it if your car isn’t black.

I'm always a M Performance typa guy. You can't beat guaranteed quality BUT I would pick the RSC lip over it. It's absolutely perfect.

I'd rather it hang a bit lower than protrude more outward from the bumper. So I like RSC. But I'd definitely want to paint match it.

M performance. RSC protrudes too far forward.

I actually have the RSC front lip. I chose this over the M performance lip because I didn’t like the sharp angles of the M performance lip and preferred the rounded angles of the RSC lip. The big seller for me though was the split in the middle of the lip so the weave can match both cf side vents. The weave comes up like a triangle in the middle. In the end both look great and the quality of both is top notch. You’ll for sure end up waiting longer for the RSC lip to arrive compared to the m performance lip if time is a factor.

Love the M Performance Lip! Have you had to angle your approach on driveways alot?

My days of ALWAYS having to take a driveway slow and at an angle is behind me.

Can you post some pics? I'm waiting for mine to arrive and I'd be lying if I said I'm not a touch skeptical still because of a couple of angles that look a bit "off"…..although I don't think I can cancel it anymore at this point as it's in production and they won't refund

This is an interesting bit of information I didn't know. Thanks for sharing.

Here’s a photo I took right when I got it. I can take more on Monday. Also I have no idea why it flipped the image upside down. Sorry

No, not at all. However my G80 is also at stock height. I'd imagine if you lowered it any then you'd have to take a different approach to some driveways, etc.

The M performance looks too bulky on the sides, IMO. The RSC looks better to me but a perfect lip would be the center of the m performance with the side connections of the RSC... but I prefer a subtle lip so YMMV.

The M perf lip sides are really almost no more bulky than the stock gloss black pieces.

Ive seen the Rsc in person on Autocouture's shop car and it looks just as good as in the pic. When looking at the two you would think the Rsc would be the OEM. I dont like the sides of the M performance.

It depends on how aggressive you want your stance to be. OEM is subtle but does enough to enhance the look. RSC is more aggressive but also sticks out if looking at it from side angles. OEM looks most natural at all angles.

Are you able to share a better picture in the light and a detail of the weave? I am wondering if the weave is similar enough to the M Performance that it could pair with the side panels and rear winglets.

Here you go. I’ll be installing mine when I get my PPF done as well as other parts in a few weeks.

EDIT: Not sure why they came out upside down. I took these on my iPhone

Thank you! Weave looks good. Still hard to tell how it might compare with that of the M Performance, but I ordered the RSC upper and lower rear diffuser anyway so I guess we will find out soon enough.

I ultimately decided to stick with the M Performance front splitter as I had the KW HAS installed today and the front is plenty low. I worry that with the added length of the RSC front splitter I will be dragging my lip all over town.

I’ve got the M performance and looked at the RSC.
Imo; get the m performance for the front and RSC for the back and/or rockers.

Edit; good choice.

anyone offering piano black lips? adding a CF lip without the rest of the CF elements would seem odd.
