ABS, traction control and brake lights on
I put my 2007 e92 330d into sport mode (single press of traction control button) and 20 seconds later all the lights lit up.
I checked battery, it's fine and charges fine. Heating/cooling still work fine. No error codes on OBD reader. Any ideas what it could be? |

FWIW it showed codes 5df0 and 5df1 so I undid, added contact spray and redid the DTC module connector and gave the DTC module a few firm taps with a hammer. Started working again, let's see for how long...

a poor steering angle sensor signal will light those up, but should give a code too I assume. I have had this twice (80,000 miles apart), always starts when driving on a long, straight road where you don't have to turn hardly at all, so the encoder gets very little input.
