Track Night at Charlotte Motor Speedway
Just wanted to post a couple of videos from my Garmin Catalyst at Charlotte Motor Speedway from this past Thursday, July 1st. The first video is my best lap. Probably left a little out there, but the high banked oval is scary and I don't want to wreck my car or die... (I use a Simpson Hybrid S HANS with the standard 3 point belt)
The second video is passing a GT3 which is always fun! Thanks! |

Probably a few different groups but this was with the SCCA. They host a few events at this track during the year.

WOW! That's awesome. M2C and my dream car the GT3 are the best cars out there.

Man that looks fun. Doesn't seem like you left much because the tires were screaming lol. Makes you respect the NASCAR drivers right? as they are going 180+ and within inches of each other.

Looks like a good, safe time. You think the banking at Charlotte is something come down and try Daytona sometime. That’s a ball.

Yeah, when I did the track in 2017 with my Porsche I definitely left with a newfound respect for NASCAR. I also said at the time that I didn't feel like I would ever need/want to do this track again bc there's so little room for error with all the walls everywhere, but I had so much fun this time and felt more confident that I can't wait to go back! The different feeling is probably a product of more seat time in the interim... No doubt would love to! |

Wow, that’s a lot of concrete walls right off the racing surface!

Any mods done to your car? What drive modes and traction settings did you use? I've still got 700 miles to break in but can't wait to get out there. This was some damn fine driving!
