M2 CS delivery - USA (MB - 6MT - 2NH - BLK 763M - Cup2)

I know that I am late to the party, but wanted to share a little of my CS story with you guys. First off, my daily driver is a G20 M340i X drive. This was the perfect daily for me because it’s fast, spacious, comfortable, full of tech and even has great fuel economy when you are easy on it. It would have been just about perfect but it does lack feel.

My weekend car was a 2004 Honda S2000 with a supercharger and a bunch of other things done to it. It put down 427 HP to the wheels and was a joy to drive. It handled well and was a blast to drive on short trips but being so heavily modded, it was very high maintenance and uncomfortable on longer drives.

I decided to start looking for a new car that would replace the S2000 and maybe not have as much “feel” but trade more comfort for a fun canyon carver that I could take on longer trips when the weather was nice. Initially, I decided on a manual G82. However, I never really fell in love with the looks… I didn’t absolutely hate it but I definitely didn't love it either. Also optioned the way I wanted it was close to 95k which was a lot for something I wasn’t crazy about. I also was worried there would be too much overlap with the M340i.

I moved on to order the M2C and configured it the way I wanted but with port installed options, it wasn’t far off an M2 CS which is what I really wanted. I eventually decided to pursue the M2 CS.

For me, the M2 CS fit the bill of a perfect weekend car:
Fun in the canyons
Manual Transmission
More high end power vs M2C
More interesting and unique interior vs a “regular” M2C
Amazing looks
Reasonable comfort and practicality for a tail of the dragon trip (compared to my S2000)

I drove the car 900 miles home and absolutely love it… can’t wait to get past the break in service! Sorry for the crappy pics, I was in a hurry to take delivery and get the drive home started.

Car has full XPEL PPF / ceramic coat and also tint (70% windshield, 50% everything else)

Late I am still waiting to pick up at the PDC on the 12th of this month. I actually went through exactly the same conundrum. I knew I wanted a manual car and was excited about the manual M3 option. I priced it out including the carbon seats and it came out to the same price as the CS. Picking the CS was at the end also very impulsive, I felt that it's upgrades were spot on over the M2C. I didn't want to do any aesthetic modding but have a great looking car. Seeing the car in person sold me......

I never had the opportunity to see the CS in person. Man, I was blown away when I first saw it. No matter how much I rationilze it, this was still an impulse purchase for me as well . Congrats on your CS! The 12th will be here before you know it!

Congrats! Awesome story. Our cars were boat mates but didn't realize we had identical specs too!
